The Old Canberra Inn

Great old school pub. Always a good selection of beers. Food is solid pub grub. Can get a bit annoying trying to make a booking through the email, but you can generally find a seat if you are prepared to brave the cold outside.

Went recently for the first time and not impressed. While one member of the group got their food quickly, the other two members’ meals were seemingly forgotten - we waited over 1 hr 10 minutes for fish and chips and were late to the rugby. We didn’t have to wait to order, so it wasn’t like it was overwhelmingly busy. When we went to check with staff after waiting an hour, they were rude and dismissive. I understand sometimes there may be long waits, but we would’ve appreciated being told before ordering. Also lots of other small niggles - toilets were unclean, staff were unfriendly and no cider options on tap, so had to go with a $10 can! Only saving grace was that the atmosphere was good.

Good, old-fashioned pub, decent pub grub, good selection of beer and wine, live music on Wednesdays, friendly staff. Altogether a great place to go to.

Good place to get hammered and the tram is near by to get home

Everything is good about this place. The food, the bevvies, the people. It definitely gets huge bonus points for allowing our fur children to come along 😊
