100% highly recommend you book in advance to have an unforgettable evening at Muse Restaurant! This was definitely the highlight of our weekend getaway! Nothing to fault, everything tasted AMAZING and we can’t wait to return to experience another menu.

I had booked for an anniversary for my partner and I and it was our first trip to the Hunter together. We arrived late (got mixed up with tomorrow's dinner booking time) however the service was still impeccable. Everything was delicious however the fish fillet I had was a bit disappointing. It had the strong smell that microwaved fish gets and the texture was firm and gummy rather than a soft flaky. It was still delicious but for me personally I prefer a light, flaky fish. Dessert was divine, the Muse coconut was amazing!

Fabulous. Loved all of our meals. Our waitress was lovely. It was our wedding anniversary and we got a special cake before desert which was delicious. Tables were spaced which was good to see. Bathrooms were clean. We will definitely be back

They say that there is one thing harder than getting to the top and that is staying on top. Muse restaurant has been the gold standard in the Hunter Valley for many years now and we were keen to see how they had bounced after the recent Covid19 closures and restrictions. So last night we were thrilled to see that they are back to their brilliant best. A 4+ course degustation menu was on offer and we took their suggested wine match for each course. You know that you are a good thing when some of the included wines were Vat 1, Lakes Folly Chardonnay and 2005 Sweetwater Shiraz. The service was effortless, and the food was exceptional and flawless from Oysters right through to the famous Muse coconut dessert. I could write a book about the food alone. Every mouthful and morsel was such a delight. Muse have a way of making you feel very special and my VIP guests reported that this was the best complete meal experience in their recent memory and they dine 5 star a lot. In my opinion Muse retains the Crown and are the standard by which all restaurants can be measured. A big wrap but well deserved and is a testament to Troy and his entire crew. We look forward to joining them again very soon.

We drove up from Newcastle for Friday night dinner. We sat down and were promptly attended to by Jess, who looked after us attentively all night. The food was amazing. We took the suggestions of the sommelier Mel, who suggested delightful wines that matched our preferences and our food. The Muse Coconut dessert was a revelation. Well worth the visit!

As you would expect from a restaurant of this class the food was sensational.

Great plating skills, poorly executed dishes. Oysters had enough shells in them to twist a romantic bracelet during the dinner. Carrots on first course was raw and burnt, I get what he's trying to do, but it didn't work. very unpleasant to eat. beef for the main was tough and difficult to eat. Murray Cod was Stunning, best dish of the night. potato side was raw, like the carrots, charred and weird raw half cooked texture in the centre. desserts were beautiful, but it felt like we were eating a completely different menu. Service was terrible. Our waiter was never in site. didn't clear our plates when dishes were finished, couldn't explain the dishes or hold a conversation. We were looking forward to this experience, we were let down. wouldn't go again or recommend it.

Eating here is such a delicious dining experience and well worth every cent. We had a lovely evening with a group of friends. The food was absolutely amazing and when matched with the appropriate wines the whole dining experience was a fabulous journey. The service was excellent and the sommelier was very informative and entertained us with the origins and descriptions of the wines we were drinking. A very enjoyable evening and a fabulous experience.

Exceptional customer service, amazing course structure and flow, nice vibe and cool interior. It looks like a casual spot but fancy enough to host a celebration dinner as well. Fish dishes were exceptional but overall very well rounded restaurant. Highly recommend this place.
