Muse Restaurant

Wow! Next level dining in the Hunter Valley. This restaurant is truly beautiful and the epitome of the Hunter Valley, large open areas with views of the kitchen, winery next door and out the window is beautiful paddocks and greenery. Ahhh the serenity. Every dish was truly incredible and I haven’t felt this way about a restaurant in a long time. But they nailed every dish. We only did 3 courses too! Would love to go back for more. The dessert, the reason I visited the restaurant was for that Muse coconut and wow, it did not disappoint. The husk is made of dark chocolate and sits on a bed of raw shaved coconut. Inside the coconut is coconut cloud mousse, filled with coconut jelly. This is truly the dessert of the year.

Actually this review is for the cellar door part of the business & not the restaurant. Not the best for families & in my opinion it's expensive/gauging. I was annoyed that I had to buy bottled water even though I asked for tap water & said it was for the kids. The toilets are good. Not a drinker (but visiting with a group) so there's little of interest for me. Try to avoid the 'pond' at the bottom of the hill, there must be a better location for that.

Amazing food and service, which goes without saying. But the atmosphere is what we find really special. A roaring fire and intimate feel make this place so special

Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing! Each new dish was part of a journey of discovery, and each mouthful an adventure into new delights. Thanks to Georgia and the team for a wonderful birthday experience.

Well prepared food and ample waiting time. The reception was quick and kind, getting us to our seats quickly and settled for the meal. The appetisers and bread were delicious and light, the butter with macadamia is probably my favourite part. The 72hr beef is so tender and has the right amount of seasoning, each bite was a pleasure to get in to. The Muse coconut is fluffy and full is so many textures - if you're a fan of coconut it'll make your dreams come true. The banana cake dessert with condensed milk ice cream and Jerusalem artichoke was also incredibly satisfying. You can't go wrong!

We had dinner here based on their reputation and were a little disappointed with the food. There seems too many different elements in each dish and they don't go very well together. The chargrill flavour in some dishes were a bit overwhelming. The only dish that was impressive was the signature coconut dessert. We expected better given the price and reputation of this place.

Outrageously great food, couldn't recommend muse highly enough, everything on the menu was fantastic. The Muse coconut is a must try!
