339 Elizabeth St 7000, Hobart
Yummy lunch without the queues. It is a tiny and quiet place to rest in the middle of the day. Toufu was fresh.
Delicious Japanese
Intimate upstairs setting, super fresh and yummy food, great service. Time to savour each dish.
Very informal, almost a "hole in the wall" (except it's upstairs!) but the food is delicious. Recommend the okonomiyaki.
Like another local Japanese establishment, haven't had a bad meal here yet and great value. Took a family member who had never been a fan of Japanese cuisine and they came away a convert. Only slight I could make was some slightly soggy tempura once and the banquet while not lacking in quantity was a bit grease and tempura heavy. Besides that, a great authentic Japanese dining experience.
Disappointing food. Good service.
Nice food relaxed atmosphere.
This place is one of Hobart's finest hidden gems. Tucked away up a flight of stairs on the first floor, this cosy and usually bustling little Japanese Restaurant is simply described as perfect. The staff are super friendly, yet not imposing and the decor is a perfect mix of modern Japanese meets Western Society. The menu is broad and intriguing with the option for a la carte or a set menu. It's the perfect place for small groups to get together and share small dishes and enjoy an evening together.
Authentic Japanese, reasonable prices but needs some upkeep. Men's bathroom out of order, had to wash hands in kitchen...
Very polite service, food was great. Best miso I've had.
