McDonald's

I had a recent breakfast stop over at McDonald's Yass Service Centre located on the Hume Highway, Yass NSW 2582. This McDonald's outlet is a busy place & provides good customer service under constant demand from people who are looking for a good McDonald's deal. One of the major points of interest that this McDonald's outlet has is that cleaning staff are always trying to maintain a good stand of cleanliness. There is plenty of adequate parking on-site, with disabled parking close to the front entrance. There is wheelchair friendly access to this McDonald's outlet. Overall, I was more than impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment & and the staff handle the constant needs of people frequenting this restaurant.

Always the place is full of customers, Very busy place. But slow in their service, management should add more staff into the operation. Waited over 30 minutes long in the drive-through. Never ever experienced this in any McDonald.

Stopped in here around 3am on a XPT train/bus replacement. The 3 team members working were killing it!! It was by far the dirtiest location I’ve ever been to but you know what? It was 3am with multiple busses and they were understaffed. Food and coffee was great!

I had ordered a Large Coffee Frappe with no whipped cream. The order arrived with whipped cream so the staff member at the counter nicely said that they would remake one. At the back, I saw a female staff member scoop the whipped cream off of my wrong order with the lid, and shockingly pour some of the frappe to top off my new order. It may have been to fill my cup to the top, but it resulted in a cross contaminated drink for a no whipped cream preference.

Shocked at how dirty this store is. Husband talked me out of going to the toilet. Lovely friendly young woman providing service and food was good, hence 2 stars. Ive never seen such filth in an eatery ever.

30 minute wait in drive through for two coffee frappe’s and three cheese burgers. Received two cold cheese burgers overloaded with sauce and no napkins to clean up the sauce tsunami. Two coffee frappe’s with big chunky ice and the paper straw feel apart soon after. Never again Yass, you need to look at your rostering and staff capability on Monday’s it’s not working for you.

Arrived here at midnight on rail coach from Sydney to Melbourne. The bathrooms were messy, as were the tables in the dining area. Service was efficient, and my extra hot, hot chocolate was exactly as I ordered it. The bins outside were also full. I have noticed at quite a few of McDonald's now that cleanliness is not as good as it used to be. This is not limited to this store at Yass either.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! If I could give minus stars I would! My most recent order at Yass service centre was a disaster!! I ordered 24 nuggets, 4 meals for my family and an extra double quarter pounder for my son. Firstly, the restaurant was totally DISGUSTING. There was food and rubbish throughout the restaurant and toilet paper, dirty pads and tampons scattered in the toilets. I was concerned eating the food as I feel I may get sick. As I'd already ordered it and paid, I didn't know how to cancel. Then the meals: Nuggest - I asked for fresh nuggets but only half were fresh. Meals - The large chips were all only half full. The drinks were not full and the burgers had little to no salad (no pickles and no mustard). They were also not fresh with the Patty only just walm. Double quarter pounder - non existent! It wasn't given to us. As we are travelling from Melbourne to Sydney with a 24ft van attached, we didn't realise these things until we were back on the road and it was impossible to turn around. This was honestly THE WORST McDonald's experience I have ever had. I was trying to decided between McDonald's and Hungry Jacks... I will DEFINITELY be going to HJ's next time.

Food was nice but took a bit of time but it was really busy. The only real problem was how dirty everything there was. Bins in the parking lot starting to over flow. All the tables in side were dirty.

This would be a zero star review if that was an option. If you want a half decent meal, then don't go here, rubbish from the bin would taste better and be more hygienic. The burgers smelled like a 2 year old dish sponge and the "special sauce" was off, that's if they even put it on their signature burger!! The lemonade line must be out as it tasted like flat soda water. There's no point ordering extras for your burgers (eg. sauce, pickles) because they will charge you for it, but not add it. Unfortunately this was not a one off either, we did give the benefit off the doubt and try again a few months later but sadly no improvement. If anything because it is left to be run by teenages, the quality and the care factor are out the window. That's not to say all the workers are incompetent, but isn't basic hygiene, knowing if the stock is off, and making the signature burger first day stuff!!? Order at your own risk.
