This is a great option for cheap Japanese food in Sydney CBD! Pick you’re noodle option, and add any topping that take your fancy - I always go for the half boiled egg, it’s got such a gooey texture which goes great mixed into noodles. It gets very popular around lunch and dinner and there’s limited seating, so it’s sometimes hard to get a seat.

Lovely Japanese eatery that served different type of Udon and Soba mainly. This place emulates Japan’s casual restaurants style with traditional music and counter style set up. The price here are very affordable it suit solo dinning. I love their kake Udon with vegetables Kakiage and tempura.

Great range of ramen and very affordable. Delicious!

Awesome ramen experience, very authentic, prices are nice too. Go to place for office lunches, even though they are not as often even these days.

Dinner at @mappencbd - brings back memories! I haven't had food from Mappen since when we lived in Brisbane like 10 years ago 😅😅. I got a karaage udon, with tempura prawns and takoyaki on the side. Quick and tasty 🙂.

Cheap and great food! Hard to find a place that sells good meals for $5 Especially for ppl like me who usually can’t finish the usual Sydney portions sizes served in restaurants

Love this place so much, been coming here for years. Their udon is delicious but I find their stewed beef (gyudon) always fresh and piping hot. Their service staff are always smiling and pleasant. Great place!

Was about to order some food, but I saw the chef pick rice out of a cooking pot and then put it in his mouth along with his fingers and then proceeded to put his hand back in the pot and get more rice out to eat!! Even when it isn’t covid times that’s really bad hygiene practise.

Love the taste of the noodle. Real quick service, good price and nice staffs. I came here often to grab a quick bowl of Koro Mappen before heading to work. Love it
