The food was good, but certainly not worth the hype compared to some other similar priced tasting menus in Perth.
We couldn’t fault the food, however there was nothing amazing about it either. We were disappointed that olives were considered one of the courses when it was hardly anything of substance.
My prawn had a huge piece of shell still attached that hadn’t been removed while being shelled in the kitchen. The meat dish towards the end was quite tender but badly lacked something else to eat with it to balance it out.
The waitress let us choose which dessert we wanted, which was nice, but at that point we had already realised that the value just wasn’t there.
For comparison we are at the Rusty Pig in Leederville and had: duck confit bread, corn ribs, octopus, scallops, chicken and dessert for $65 each and it was honestly about twice as much food and had far more meat dishes.
The service was okay, but we waited quite a long time between courses, at one point about 20 minutes.
The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was pretty good, but for the value we won’t be returning or recommending.
