Absolutely amazing from the second my wife and I walked in the door for our date night.
The staff are professional and attentive without being overbearing and are exceptionally on point knowing just the right time when something is needed, (her name is Carolina by the way but they’re all amazing!).
The great thing here is the food is so exceptional, (serious kudos to the kitchen, you warmed our souls), the great staff just top everything off, it’s a symbiotic relationship worth watching on its own!
Who would have thought you could rave so much about bread but a starter of amazing warm olives with basil pesto then flat bread with smoked garlic butter was a match made in heaven! The flat bread I can’t explain but it was a star in its own right!?
I hate cabbage! I ordered the wood roasted cabbage roasted in duck fat with miso, WOW! Seriously WOW! I’m now adding red cabbage to my veggie patch to replicate this masterclass in veggie dining.
Final dish, slow roasted dorper lamb, beetroot, smoked yoghurt, lamb jus was amazingly unctuous and tender, sensational!
I did say final dish but along with the cabbage I broke a rule and ordered desert (I never get desert at dinner) vanilla bean pannacotta, spiced apple, cinnamon crumble with the recommended glass of tawny port was sublime.
I’ve been to countless restaurants and only have a couple I list as truly memorable, Manuka Wood Fired Kitchen is top of list!
