What a beautiful place. The crystal clear pond with tortoises is an absolute envy. The jam and pate player was delicious. Service was friendly and helpful.

Great farm shop overlooking the pond. Great coffee and sweets. A minor shame they had no offerings of some savoury pastries. Nice easy walks around the farm looking at the pond and animals.

Bad experience recently in eatery. Booked lunch with my family. The manager very unwelcoming us as we haven't answer the confirmation booking in the a.m. However, I booked online and there is no information that I must receive the confirmation call for final booking. She only replied "everyone did answered my call except u" After we sat down, the waiter kindly offered my kid some colour pens and drawing paper. The manager came to us for getting order with very rude attitude. She also collected my kids drawing paper when she was collecting the menu. We came here 3 years ago with different service . That day was our anniversary celebration with this " wonderful service". We totally not go back again. Please ensure you answer the confirmation call before your booking. PS the shop has good service but not the eatery.

Travelled here on a recent visit to Adelaide with my parents. Enjoyed a tub of the vanilla bean ice cream overlooking the lake and then sat under the tree on the decking by the lake for another hour. Interesting shop and display as well as a cooking school and restaurant. Worth a visit, even if just to see the 'Cook and the Chef' kitchen in real life! Sue Ellson :)

Nice place to come and visit. Really get a homely feeling when you come here, and the little lake is a very nice touch!

So so ... Can tick this one off the list, but didn't live up to what media/tourgroups had hyped up about it. Farmshop was nicely setup and good to visit. Staff were very friendly ... The cafe itself very limited in coffee/cake options - only 1 type of cake (and 1 muffin variety) available when we visited. Restaurant next door has wider range of lunch meals on offer, for those that are really hungry (and at a steaper price) - but some of us just want coffee/cake on an afternoon out. Lake with turtles swimming was a good highlight.

Beautiful farm store where Maggie Beer fans will be familiar with a certain kitchen space and tastings of the Maggie Beer range presented by lovely and knowledgeable team members that feel like an extension of Maggie's family! Be sure to pick up one of the seasonal small batch offerings that you can't find anywhere else!

What a scenic view from the venue, a couple of drinks over the bar overlooking the ponds. My kids were pleasantly stoked about the turtles and ducks on the pond. We really enjoy a moment here with the family.

We went for an interactive cooking demonstration and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The host was absolutely lovely and informative, quite funny too and omg the food was so simple but amazing. Everything about this experience was an absolute delight. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Description

Visit us at the farmshop & cafe where it all began over 40 years ago. Here you can taste the fruits of all those years of value adding produce to hand. You can sit at the open windows with a coffee and cake or a glass of wine and see the native turtles or local birdlife in the adjoining lake. We encourage our visitors to wander around the Farm Shop & cafe and take the opportunity to taste all the products; in fact this is the only place in Australia where you have the chance to see and try just about every product we make. Enjoy a coffee and cake on the terrace while you enjoy views of the lake, or perhaps indulge in some wine and cheese. Locally produced and inspired by Maggie Beer, of course.
