Wonderful dining experience with friends. If you’re a fan on full-on Thai fusion with deadly cocktails and a bangin’ playlist, this is the place to be. Go the banquet, you won’t be disappointed. Keep up the great work guys!

In a dining area of more than 60 people, there were only 20 people a d still my 1st dish came in 35 minutes which was not even hot. Other one did not even come for 56 minutes. When we canceled the order to move on to another restaurant, not a single apology was given. The glasses of water had soap and water strains too.

The banquet menu was AMAZING! Plenty of food we even got to take some away. The highlight were the betel leaf and lamb curry, very flavourful but balanced in sour and sweet. The dessert was also interesting with flash frozen pomelo atop a rich duck egg caramel custard. The yuzu cocktail was very refreshing and had hints of lemon grass in it, very unique. All the waiters were very attentive making sure to top up drinks and check in with us. Ambiance was semi formal, would recommend for anyone looking for a night out with great dining experience!

It really is with some torment that I rate one of my favourite restaurants so poorly. I have eaten here many time and many times, as with last night, I was wowed by the food. Such flavour and exciting presentation. Food alone and Longrain clearly get 5 stars from me. Last nights service was really poor, to the point that it impacted on our enjoyment of the amazing food and had my wife apologising to her family for the choice she had made to come here. Scott Pickett was in the kitchen on the night and favourites for me were the beef skewers, silken tofu, egg net, flash fried snapper and my gin sin cocktail was also very good with a hint of chilli. Our waiting team member clearly right from the start of the evening didn’t seem to understand what was required to keep a table of 7 happy. There was no welcome, or a run through the menu and our first interaction with them was when we were asked if we were ready to order food and drink, when we hadn’t even received menus. Our drinks came erratically and wine separated from us by some distance meaning we couldn’t serve ourselves but non-attentive service meant we often had empty glasses and had to chase down someone to replenish. It was a busy St Patrick’s day evening but I’m sure with covid spacing the venue was at far less capacity than out previous visits so that can’t be an excuse We were left quite loathing of the team member concerned to the point where people who were normally quite generous tippers absolutely refused to consider even a minor tip and the tip my wife and I gave was absorbed by the group. Really hope that this was just one bad night.

We loved our experience at Longrain tonight! Service is definitely one of the best we’ve had in Melbourne. The banquet menu was amazing! Love the mocktail made by Ryan and all the bartenders kept us entertained at the bar!

The deco was modern and felt spacious. We really love the modern Thai food that Longrain serves (see pics). Especially love the betel leaf seared scallop that was fresh and juicy. Longrain also serves up really yummy cocktails. Strongly recommend the Gin Sin! Had two of it.

Terrible! We had the vegetarian set menu which was the same price as the regular set menu. Our friends had beef and pork dishes and we were given a small pumpkin curry to share and three pieces of tofu to share! When I complained and said that you couldn't compare our vegetarian meal with the meat dishes it turned out that they had given us the entree size of the tofu. So my husband and I had a piece and a half of tofu each, outrageous! Our friends had chicken skewers as part of their set menu and we had a sliced mushroom on a skewer! How can those two different menus be the same cost? It's a rip off!

Went for the $99 set menu and was pleasantly surprised. There was almost too much food for just the two of us, but all very tasty and well presented. Service was as to be expected - very attentive - and all very knowledgeable on the menu. The negatives: what kind of upmarket restaurant charges a credit card service fee?! Never seen that before and although minor, a total put off.

Gorgeous heritage venue, majestic food. I photographed the wedding of Liv and Adam that was held upstairs at Longsong. Team seems to know what they're doing (to put it mildly). Stunning warehouse-ey space and the food was from another planet. Cheers legends!
