La Quinta Mexican Cafe & Bar

Same menu...totally different flavours. It’s no where near as good as it once was. We liked the burritos with NO rice, we like the chips just plain and the salad tortilla bowl didn’t have the same spicy ranch dressing as previously. We craved some Mexican so headed into BULIMBA from Chandler to our once fav spot. Sorry...but we won’t be back.

Similar to other recent reviews, this used to be our favourite Mexican and we’d often order take away from here (have been doing so for 7 years). Tonight’s order has to be the worst Mexican food we’ve eaten. The fact we ordered chicken burritos and received pork is the least of their worries. The girl on the phone was dismissive, informing me it wasn’t pork but in fact shredded chicken (it was pork). We definitely won’t be back.

I have been going to La Quinta for at least 9 years and still find excuses to go now that I've moved to the North Side. However last night we realised they have changed their menu for the first time. While the new menus and shirts look great, I LOVED the old food more, and going by last night's food I may not be back if the new menu stays. Nothing technically wrong with the new food, but as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Been coming to la Quinta for 9 years. Thought I would try the new chicken salad and unfortunately it’s nowhere near as good as it was. I was getting the salad fortnightly. I won’t be back unless they bring back the old school salad.

Not sure the update is as good as you guys hoped it would be. Sad to see this happen to what's been a family favourite for a decade. It's not just a menu/furniture change, it's an overall vibe change too. Has there been management changes? What newbie has done this?

Have been a loyal customer for many years and love La Quinta and their food. However, was very disappointed on our most recent visit to find that many of our favourite menu items are no longer available. Hoping that some of the classics might be re-added to the menu soon.

Very disappointing. They don't seem to even know what's on their menu and are giving customers wrong information about whats available. They don't even come back and correct themselves. They just give you a plate with half the ingredients missing and hope you won't notice. When you question them they just say oh we dont have it even though half an hour earlier before I ordered I was assured they did and I hadn't been told otherwise until I questioned them after my very disappointing plate of food was put in front of me. Very poor service.

Changed Menu - Disaster Used to be a great restaurant, family friendly with great tasting food. No idea why the menu change, since when was the local mexican eatery goat with gluten free, lactose free, pumpkin seed & mushroom? Could not find a single thing to eat. Ended up ordering nachos & none of us were able to eat them - black nachos corn chips covered in beans. What the? Not hard people! Won’t go back.

Favourite Mexican restaurant in Brisbane! Great mexican food, great drinks list and great vibe! Extremely busy at times so book ahead and prepared to be squashed in amongst the crowd and noise.

What amazing food. The first Mexican place we've tried in Brisbane that offers spice level and delivers when you ask for 3 chill spice! Flavour was spot on and service was good. Would come back for the food!
