We had 4 typical Taiwanese night market foods and was very impressed at how good they were plus tasted very authentic to what you get in Taiwan, even better in some ways as the serving sizes were bigger than sometimes what you get in Taiwan.

Very few of the good Taiwanese restaurants here in Melbourne! Enjoyed dining here. Not 100% authentic but better than a few years ago

Great food with reasonable prices. This place is packed during lunch/dinner times. There is a great variety of food and delicious drink to choose from. The seating in the restaurant is slightly packed so you might share a table with someone else if you don't mind. I definitely recommend to try this place if you are in the area.

Always a favourite, quick and easy if it's not too busy. Try the XL crispy chicken and a lemon iced tea to wash down the rice.

Could be 2.5 Star ⭐️ It could have been so good. A variety of restaurants have set up stalls in Kitchen republik, so if you have friends with a variety of tastes you can order dumplings, rice set, Taiwanese beef noodles and dessert in one location. We ordered Taiwanese beef noodles and white truffle xiao long bao. The flavour of the Taiwanese beef noodles was relatively good, the fresh coriander cutting the fattiness of the noodles. The noodles were let down by the promise of tender beef brisket. Yes some of them were tender, most of them not tender at all. The white truffle XLB was below average. The truffle flavour was prominent, however it’s also overly salty and the skin overly thick. Note to self: go try something else in Box Hill.
