The Illawarra Hotel

Definitely a great place for a drink after work on a Friday. Great atmosphere and the staff do great. Food options are pretty damn good too, so if you're after a bite with your beer you shouldnt be disapointed. As a vego pubs are usually pretty difficult to get a feed, but at a minimum, the nachos are worth a try. The boys on meat certainly didn't complain either.

After a great renovation this is a nice place to go. Decent food, wide selection of beers and friendly staff. Feels a lot more like a pub now which is great. Especially the spot tucked in behind the rear bar. There is live music too some days. If in a larger group, do make a booking but if you are just a handful of people you can usually get a spot.

Good food and service . Interior of hotel has been well renovated keeping the old character . Well done .

Meat pie, takes a little extra time to cook to serve but overall great wholesome meal.

Friendly staff. Great music. Plenty of seating. Bathrooms are clean. Place was clean. Quick service.

Fantastic pub in the heart of the city. The recent refresh to give it a more traditional feel is fantastic. Quality food, great service at reasonable prices. Not to mention they are big on supporting local producers in the region. From meat and veg to the beer, wine & spirits poured, The Illawarra is big on helping local producers succeed.

The new look is great, the drink service was good but the food took some time to come out. The schnitzel was nice, the caesar salad was average

This was the first time I've seen toilets go backwards and the staff is nicer than Canadians. If you haven't been here, stop by. Ask for Jeff, He doesn't work there, but ask for him anyways. When you come in, you'll notice the vibe....You'll have been shook by the time you left!! Cheers!

Awesome Pub! The place has a good vibe, great food and often has live music. Has become my new local.

Great outdoor area with a huge TV fir the footy. Great meals with a good selection.
