Very popular place, book for lunch or you could miss out. Food all excellent, 4 different dishes and all of them excellent. It was busy, busy ,busy when we called in, but space found with a short wait. Staff very helpful and knowledgable.

Pretty busy on Easter Monday. My family called in for morning tea. Due to Covid restrictions we had to order take away and sit outside in the sun. Cakes were delicious even though we had to use a wooden spoon which doesn't have a nice texture. Tasting room was full so didn't line up for that.

Very good, loved the hot chocolate. Pity the factory is closed on Sundays. Tame of different flavours and types of Choc. My samples were all excellent!

Absolutley love Anvers Chocolate! Anvers Chocolate Factory at Latrobe in Tasmania’s North-West is a chocolate lovers’ heaven. Hand-made chocolate truffles, chocolate oranges, fudge and pralines, using fresh Tasmanian cream and butter, single origin chocolate, fruits, nuts and liqueurs. Igor Van Gerwen, owner and head chocolatier, acquired his know-how from his birthplace of Belgium. Samples are available to tempt you in the Tasting centre and shop. The Anvers Chocolate Factory and Cafe is located in the property known as Wyndarra Lodge, a stylish house (c.1931) set in 2.5 hectares of mature tree gardens. Anvers has viewing windows so you can see the factory in action; confectionery staff tempering, moulding and enrobing fine chocolates, truffles, pralines, fudge and more. There is a small museum on the history of chocolate, and a café with open fire place and stained glass windows specialising in chocolates, hot cocoa in many flavours, chocolate desserts and…more chocolate. Belgian style breakfast, hearty Tasmanian lunches are served as well as morning and afternoon teas.

Tasted the sample platter and I was sold. It's just that good. Best chocolate factory in the southern parts of Australia!
