Good friendly bar, reasonable pricing, dog and children friendly, food substantial but menus stuck in the 1970's. Must move on , smaller portions better quality and better wine range.

Lovely food and friendly, welcoming staff. Dog- friendly and our pup was made to feel most welcome. Great pub in a lovely location. Hand cut chips are highly recommended!

Lovely friendly welcome, service is prompt, good selection of food, we visited for lunch, large portion well presented food. Well worth a first and second visit.

Just been for our Craft group Xmas meal.( Used upstairs room) Was fabulous, staff great, organisation brilliant. Veg perfect not mushed Portions very large. Defo recommend

There was only 2 staff in, the food was rushed and the presentation wasn’t the best, the chips were cold and I ordered plain nachos and I got cheesy nachos not the best experience.

Stayed for 2 nights and could not have felt more welcome! Colin looked after us from walking in....and sadly I never got the lady's name who served our breakfast but she was so lovely!! Chris certainly knows how to look after guests....the room was nicely decorated and a lovely location to boot! The food was a welcome added bonus. Definitely a great wee place to stay, and a great atmosphere on the Friday night.

Booked a table here this morning for 5 people at 6pm. We arrived at 6pm and bar man seemed surprised to see us. Think it was very obvious they hadn’t reserved any seating for us. Waitress tried to sit us upstairs after ordering us to place a drinks order at the bar while she switched the lights on upstairs. When we went upstairs the place was roasting and would not be comfortable to sit and eat dinner at. We eventually got a table at the bar area. Bar man was dismissive, almost to the point of being rude. My sister said she heard him saying to locals sitting drinking at the bar that “ tourists were a joke and always booked last minute expecting a table” Food was ok but the service from the bar man and attitude means we will never be back. We are good tippers working in the hair and beauty industry so at the end of the day it was his loss. No tip. I don’t leave negative reviews very often but this unwelcoming attitude really needs to be addressed.
