23 Castle Street 2323, Morpeth
Popped in for coffee on a blustery morning, saw the menu and decided to go back for a light lunch. Mushroom soup was delicious followed by treacle sponge and custard. This won’t be our last visit. Staff very friendly and helpful even towards our dog who had his grumpy pants on today.
Ery nice atmosphere and friendly locals. Food great accommodation good (we had to share a bathroom) it serves the job. Would visit again definitely as Warkworth is stunning.
Great location, nice local place with unpretentious ambience, basic food (we showed up late and got a kind-hearted reheating, can't comment on in-hours food) There was live music and good mix of local and visiting people, nice vibe, dog friendly
Popped in for a drink and snack. Couldn’t fault the roast beef sandwich with gravy and home made chips. Great value too.
Cosy, people and dog friendly. We had snacks, which were delicious, and the service was brilliant. Going back Wednesday for an evening meal. Definitely recommend.
Been going to warkworth for years and thought I would book a table here for Mother’s Day, I won’t be going back. We waited 50 mins for my son’s chicken wings starter (£7) and when they came there was 3 small wings on a small bed of lettuce, I asked is that all you get and the waitress replied “ you normally get 4!!!! I should have said oh well shall I only pay a bit of the bill! The staff didn’t seem interested and we waited 55mins for our main meals to arrive! I have attached a pic of the wings! It’s just taken people for a ride and I would not advise anyone to go here.
Looking for something to eat and stumbled across this venue by chance. What a find, the staff very friendly and accomodating, found us a table for four and we found the quality of the food excellent. The food portions were all large portions and well presented. The venue felt very welcoming and if ever passing would definitely place this on my stop for a meal.
Came here twice and came here last year too. Traditional pub food. As in pie, roast, curry, scampi etc. Also specials board. Good portion sizes. Has a restaurant area also, so if the pub is full you can go into there. Well behaved dogs allowed also. Good range of wines and beers etc. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere.
A lovely cosy, friendly pub with super food. Perfect after a walk on the beach!
Visited today with my little ones, food portions great! Pricing great! staff great very helpful! Chef is a lovley guy. Nice to see what he has done with the place since i was last there. Keep it up!
