Delicious Chinese with quick and friendly service and very generous serving sizes. We'll be back!
Bad service. We are tourists and had pleasant experiences with other restaurants in the area during our stay, but with this place, if you don't order "enough" dishes, you can hear their staff cursing at you. There are a few reviews here where unprofitable customers end up unhappy. Why not setup a minimum charge and let them know before they sit down so they can choose to either leave or order a few more dishes to avoid these unhappy experiences.
Love Happy’s. Been coming for a few years and the standard is always high. Friendly, efficient staff, well cooked Chinese classics always delivered to a high standard. Highly recommend the Spicy eggplant hot pot it’s something special. Good for any occasion and will always recommend to friends and family passing through Canberra
Excellent Food. Wonderful staff. Will definitely be back.
Have ordered food from Happy's a few times now. The food and the service was exceptional each time. I will be back!!
Long standing Chinese restaurant in Canberra. Great serving sizes, the banquets are fantastic value. Staff are brilliant and very attentive. Good variety of drinks. Only downside I can find is the quality of the food, particularly the desserts as the deep fried ice cream (something I’m a bit of a connoisseur of) wasn’t up to scratch as the ice cream was too melted. The mains and entrees were as per standard Chinese cuisine, good but nothing extraordinary.
Am a regular customer at Happy's. We enjoy the ambience, the fast service and food that is consistently good. We bring our interstate visitors along to enjoy the Chef Specials. Highly recommended.
Amazing restaurant with quality food. Worth the trip into Canberra for these succulent Chinese meals.
1.Discrimination against family with the baby. 2. Threaten us to call the police and fine 300AUD. 3. Liars. We were a big fan of Happy's restaurant before. We have two boys aged 4 years and 1 year. We come to dine in tonight at 6:06PM. Happy's restaurant tells us the booking is full, only takeaway is available. So we order the takeaway. While we are waiting, three customers just dine in without any booking. So I ask the Happy's for a reason. The owner of the restaurant says we have kid and baby and spend more time than other customers, they have called the police and the police will fine me 300AUD as I was supposed to leave after I get the takeaway. This is obvious discrimination against families with babies and dishonest behaviour lying to us booking is full and only takeaway is available. I will strongly recommend any people with kids and babies rethink this restaurant. I take three photos at 6.30PM. There were 9 people when we came. 30 people restriction.
Celebrated Chinese New Year at Happy's! It's our first time to dine and the experience was worth it! Quick service and the food was great! Good choice to have the fried chicken in lemon sauce, seafood combination fried rice noodles (which is really big and filled with seafood meat) and the beef with ginger and shallots. Indeed, a Happy Chinese New Year for us!
