Happy’s Chinese Restaurant

I ordered a lunch special "chicken in lemon sauce" but they gave me chicken in sauce so sweet that if was more a sugar syrup than anything. Even sweeter than honey chicken I'd assume.

We love it every time! The food is delicious and they are always prepared for gf options ☺️. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional! We highly recommend it.

One of the best Chinese food restaurants I've ever been to. Delicious, reasonably priced food, friendly staff and all around great atmosphere. No doubt in my mind will visit again.

I love a good unpretentious Chinese restaurant and upon visiting Canberra we found one at Happy’s. We only had a couple of dishes but they were really delicious. Do yourself a favour and seek out Happy’s. Negotiating the stairs down revealed an intimate dining experience, friendly, helpful staff and a very tempting, delicious menu. I can appreciate why some other diners wish to keep Happy’s their secret.

Very disappointing with the food. You pay a decent price for the meals and you expect a high quality of food. If it was my business i would be very disappointed serving this to my customers. Chicken cashew with nuts and satay chicken what sort of chicken meat is this some sort of processed chicken? Plus lacked in flavour.Honey chicken well found a hair strand in the container stuck to a piece of honey chicken and hello i have short hair where is the hygiene quality control. Not 1 meal had any flavour even down to the prawn crackers. I cannot understand why some people rate this restaurant very high if it was me i wouldnt even give you 1 star. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Ordered a Happys Pack via UberEATS and it was excellent value. Got four dishes, drinks and entrees. Arrived hot and was very tasty. Will order again if visiting the ACT.

Happy's has THE best traditional Chinese Cantonese food I have ever eaten (and being Asian I am fussy). Tender, best quality meats and delicious seafood. We came through twice on our way to Sydney and on our way back home to Melbourne and still had so many things we weren't able to try on the menu! If we lived in Canberra, we'd be on a first name basis for sure. Definitely recommend.

We had 12 people for a banquet. What a feast!! Even struggling through covid the portions were generous, and the food delicious. They didn't skimp. Prices are very reasonable. Not overpriced in any way. Highly recommended.

Once again, a fantastic experience. Great service, extra great food, and really reasonable pricing. I always use fried rice as my 'barometer' for a great Asian restaurant. Happy' excelled to the max. Thanks Gav and team.

Very underwhelmed. The food came out literally five minutes after ordering, which always makes me suspicious of some cooking in advance. The fried rice lacked seasoning, the salt and pepper squid needed another 30 seconds cooking - and some actual salt and pepper flavouring - and the san choi bow was the most lacking in flavour from any Chinese restaurant I've been to. The five spice beef was good, very soft and excellent flavour. Service-wise, the staff were friendly, but it felt like the place was on a factory conveyor belt, get-'em-in and and get-'em-out. Overall, not worth it. There are many better Chinese options out there.
