Hafez Persian Restaurant

Disappointing is my overall comment. We had heard good things but sadly both the food and service were less than you'd expect. In particular table service was terrible, staff were inattentive, had to stand up and walk over to get them to take our orders. Food was bland and portions were small for the $ asked. Suggestion - Have your staff actually watching customer tables rather then chatting to each other around kitchen area - Whilst we were there on a not so busy night, several tables were left with dishes on them 15-20 minutes after customers had left.

It is the most prestige Iranian restaurant in Melbourne. There is a beautiful decoration. Foods are delicious and tasty. I would strongly recommend it.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! The food, ingredients, hospitality and live music on Saturday night were excellent!! The staff are very friendly!! Absolutely one of the best persian restaurants in Australia. I’d highly recommend this place!

Great Persian food, nice venue. The owner, hamed is very friendly and accommodating. We have been there many times, and will be going there again. 🍢🍷

Saturday night was very busy, but they found a table for 2 of us. Friendly staff, amazing decor and the food was great. The lamb shank just came apart of the bone, the rose water sorbet/ icecream that was a flavour I never experienced before. Hafez deserve alot more than 5 stars!

Really enjoyed the food and dining experience here. The restaurant is beautiful inside with middle eastern murals and styling that add to the experience. The menu is large and the food is very tasty with generous portions. Staff are very friendly. Will return.

My absolute favorite Persian restaurant in Melbourne. Wonderful atmosphere, really professional staff, friendly and hospitale manager, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, extensive menu. I recommend to everyone!

Early Nowruz dinner for our family- our first visit to Hafez following closure of our usual Persian restaurant. We have been missing out! I wanted to run to the kitchen and check it wasn't my Aunts cooking- such authentic, quality food. Service was excellent and we felt very welcome with our children (sorry about the rice on the floor- my 2yo couldn't get enough of it!). Will absolutely be back regularly 🥰
