Gangnam Pocha

I always passed by this place and never thought much about it. I decided to try it few weeks ago and was surprised at how tasty the food was. We ordered the half Korean fried chicken. Was contemplating to order their pork belly but since it occupied a full page on the menu, we ordered the Slow Cooked Pork belly in beef bone soup. Yummm, it was really good and the flavour is perfect.

I ordered Gangnam Pocha’s pork kimchi stew with a lychee iced tea via EASI delivery service. I was disappointed that they didn’t provide cutlery in my order and I was staying at a hotel. So I thought no problem, I could get it at a shop. But then my second disappointment came which is there’s a tiny bug in the stew. If those two issues didn’t exist, I’m sure I would enjoy the meal more and would consider ordering at Gangnam again in the future.

It was a walk in on Sat night with 8 and they accommodated happily even though they had a large group booking dining already but they made it work and the night was awesome with delicious food and drinks. Service, food and atmosphere was on point! Friendly and efficient staff. Place is child friendly also! Giving extra points for BTS music played with song requests met! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for a great night! This is the place to go to satisfy your KFC (korean fried chicken) cravings and much more!

Been here twice with Eatclub. The foods pretty good for the (discounted) price, but the fried chicken left a lot to be desired. Spicy chicken was amazing as well as the rice balls!

The waiter recommended Sweet & Spicy/Original Fried Chicken (~$30), Kimchi Mayo Rice Ball ($10), Spicy Pan-Fried Chicken with Mozzarella Cheese ($28), Slow-cooked Bossam with Garlic Chive salad ($35), Army Stew ($32), and Assorted Chips with Sausages ($25); so we got them all lol. Portions were huge - definitely big enough to share with friends. In terms of taste, they were decent but nothing special. My favourite was Army Stew - slightly too sweet but perfect with soju. However, the highlight of the night was def "So-Maek Tower" ($55) - filled with 2 sojus and 6 cans of beer. Such an interesting way to drink :) Definitely give it a go when you visit!

Authentic Korean experience! Was recommended this place by a Korean friend, there was K-pop blaring, Korean people laughing and enjoying their time, the chicken with cheese was delicious! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun Korean chicken and beer place

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Melbourne..service is so kind and food are so good..especially chicken and bossam.

Really friendly staff, a good range of proper Korean food and drinks. Pricing was cheap, the food that came out was hot, fresh and super tasty. I'll be coming back again!
