This is a awesome hidden gem in the most beautiful part of tassie. Travelling to Cole's Bay and having car troubles we were looking for somewhere to camp overnight and there was this oasis, we pulled up paid our money found a camp spot on the edge of the trees and had tea and sussed the car problems out . Then we headed up to the public bar and met the most wonderful and helpful owners you could want that were only to helpful to help us out. Beck & Scally this is awesome you are wonderful people and have a wonderful business do not change a thing (especially the leaning front fence) . We will return to this awesome spot again.
Great camp spot not far from wine glass NP walks. Lots of space for peaceful camping/caravanning. Camp fire encouraged. Bar on site. Clean facilities. The NP is unsuitable for anything other than camper vans, so this is a great alternative for caravaners. Water views are a pleasant surprise. I nearly forgot to mention the very pleasant hosts.
Great open spot for camping with the family. Very accomodating for us when we needed to extend our stay by a few days. Great price and lovely clean facilities. Staff are awesome. Highly recommend.
The kids had an absolute ball. A fantastic set up with fire pit and bar and snacks for parents who want to hang out and wait for the kids to finish. So good
What a delightful camp spot here at Freycinet Paintball & Campground! A big grassy paddock, pit fires allowed, wood available, dogs allowed, children free, an open central “play” area … family heaven at an affordable price! This is the taste of Tasmania that we were craving! The ambiance and friendly camaraderie of the owners made this camp ground a location to come to. We arrived early Friday to find NO free campsites available nearby on the Freycinet peninsula! The area is a huge draw card for travellers, so to find nowhere near enough camping options is most disappointing… thank goodness we were referred to Paintball Campground (which maxed out in no time). We had researched previously to find “first in, best dressed” sites but nowhere online did we see only 12 sites available at Friendly Beaches! Or River and Rock … zip! You will not be disappointed with this campground!
Did paintball with 3 other friends in the afternoon , had a great time and enjoyed a pint of Bicheno lager after. Delicious beer, very friendly owners , would highly recommend.
