Having read the article in SMH and remembering Becasse with joy, we decided to take our daughter last night for a birthday celebration. It was a disaster. My husband and I ordered the chicken cotelleta having seen the photograph which looked delicious. Then these enormous chicken dishes arrived. Deep fried, dry and even the sides of the chicken were yellowed, crisp and standing up as they were so dried out. Probably the worst “Italian” dish we have experienced. The other dishes were very ordinary, with the exception of the Burratta. If this is the best this chef can do, then that is very sad
The Manager was excellent, and couldn’t do enough for us, although by this stage all we wanted to do was leave. All in all a lot more work required by the kitchen who definitely let the staff down
