Fisheries on the Spit

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Snapper and calamari were decent, and chips were below average. Seats up on roof are nice for the breeze, but don't go out ofmyour way to visit with soany better options around.

Love this place for authentic fish and chips (that are generous and not greasy) and fresh seafood! Well priced as well! I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 80s and cant go past the crumbed calamari or a plate of prawns. Be prepared to line up at lunchtime on the weekends, it's very popular!

Ok if you can cope with deep fried food. The menu is not clear about the grilled options that might be available. When I asked the server didn't know and had to ask others who were "to busy" to respond. I persisted and found a patron who was eating grilled fish and they said you have to ask for specific items! To hard. Went elsewhere!

Excellent fish and chip, very fresh and we'll cooked.

Enjoyed eating freshly cooked prawns while waiting for our order of fish'n'chips to be cooked. Delicious food!

Great staff. Yummy seafood. I think they could add some more quantity for the amount we are paying. It is only a normal fish and chip joint. $20 fisherman basket is normally enough for 2 people at other places. Not here though.

Had the seafood basket, scallops and calamari were good the but chips were average

Good food at reasonable prices + great park opposite to eat in. Very popular on weekends, so try mid-week if you don't like crowds.
