Authentic, great atmosphere even in a covid world, amazing cocktails. Hero's the food with smart cooking. Wonderful staff. I will go back.

I dont live in Sydney anymore. I would move just for these guys. Busy , fun and gr8 service.

The service was outstanding ~ everything from how the serviette fell flawlessly from the waiters hand onto my lap to the scrupulous attention to ensuring my water never ran out! Each bite awakened my senses & ignited a hunger for the next dish. The flavours were sensational & popped in my mouth! My cocktail ~ Spiced Negroni ~ arrived in front of me with a sliced chard orange precariously balancing on the rim of the stylish glass. The rich flavours of the orange exploded in my mouth, that, paired with the actual cocktail sent my senses into overdrive. Our group chose the option of the five course menu. Each course was beautifully delivered, with the waiters announcing where each ingredient originated from. The evening was pleasant & the atmosphere was buzzing. On another note: I felt that each course was way too skimpy...especially the Margra lamb. After waiting six months for this evening to come to fruition I was disappointed with the overpriced menu & the small portions of food. When booking ~ please note ~ Service Charge: A discretionary 10% service charge is applied to all table of 6 or more guests as a gratuity paid directly to our staff...$140.00 was added to our bill for this, not to mention the still/sparkling water ~ for the owners ~ as a disclosure I think you should include the price you charge for water! Our meal came to $1548...

The premise of Firedoor is simple - fresh, locally sourced produce cooked over an array of embers to bring out their most natural flavors - I walked in with high expectations and have to say that Firedoor did not disappoint I highly recommend the aged steak (pic #1) - if you only get one thing this would be it Swipe through for everything we had that night (minus the wine)

My wife and I ate here for my birthday last week. The food was unreal. We'd hear the steak was the signature dish, so made the investment.. It was so good! Soft like butter but delicious crust on the outside. We also bought the book, which Lennox personally signed with a lovely message! I can't recommend this place enough.

We celebrated our anniversary here last July and we had a very wonderful dining experience. Food was absolutely delicious, high quality fresh ingredients, great service and loved all the wine pairings and cocktails. Located at the heart of Surry Hills, Firedoor is one of the top places in Sydney you should put on your list to visit.

Staff were professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. I will never eat cos lettuce again unless it's cooked over fire. The 218 day aged steak was an absolute experience and the cocktails were lovely. Thanks team!

I had such high expectations for a hatted restaurant. The service was good however the sommelier kept yelling when she was introducing the wines. They were accomodating with the food allergies. We had the degustation with matched wines. We also ordered oysters and a steak as an extra add on. $7 for an oyster smoked with juniper is expensive. The food is a let down, it's more theatrics than anything. It's overpriced for what you get. The best course was the fish smoked in paperbark and also the marshmallows on sticks. The dessert course was abysmal. However it did have a nice atmosphere.

A unique experiance and good vibe. Food is decent however does not live up to the hype and is far from value for money. Food was well cooked but mostly lacking in flavour. Cocktail's were also quite average however unlike the food were reasonably priced.

Wine great. Service great. Food very one dimensional.
