Best Indian food I've had. Friendly owner explained they cook without butter and oil. I definitely felt better the next day compared to when I usually eat Indian food! We had the tasting menu which had a great selection. The butter chicken, coconut curry, Balls of Happiness and Kingfish and the Cauliflower were my favourites. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed and easy eat with friends.

The highlight of our Melb food and wine trip!!! The balls of Happiness are a must and the curries were amazing. Everything came so quickly and the service was great. I don’t give reviews all the time but there was nothing to fault!!

I went to Daughter in Law with my friend on 27th April, she recommended this place that I didn’t even know it exists very close to where I live! We had such a nice time with our conversation and these delicious dishes. We selected the Tasting Menu for $55/pp and here is what we got: 🟠 Gol Gappa (Balls of Happiness) - VERY YUM AND CRISPY, I wish I can eat this everyday. 🐟 Kingfish Sashimi - Nicely fresh and thinly sliced so it had melt-in-your-mouth feels. 🥦 Colonel Tso’s Cauliflower - Such an interesting take on cauliflower, it almost tasted like korean fried chicken! 🥔 Batata Tikki (Potato Croquette) - Love the soft texture of the potato on the inside and the seasonings are perfect for the dish. 🍗 Tandoori Chicken - Delicious chicken dish but I was hoping for more flavors on the chicken, just missing a little bit of something I can’t quite place. 🍛 Curry Platter - What an absolute fireworks of flavors! Love having a bite here and there, especially with the rice and naan. This was my favorite for sure! 🍦 Ice cream on a stick! - This was so interesting. I couldn’t find the details on the menu, but trust me it’s definitely tasty! Overall, it was a really wonderful experience tasting all these amazing mix of flavors that works well with each other. The vibe of the place was very cool too with the pink neon lights covering the whole place. PS: I tried my best taking pics under pink lights and editing them to be a bit less saturated 😂 Also, look at the cup! So beautiful 😍

Food was alright but we ordered the tasting menu for two and it took over 2 hours to finish. It took over 25 minutes between some of the dishes. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very patient.

1. Snapper curry had crispy skin and well cooked but the curry sauce was extremely salty especially for someone that loves salty foods... 2. Coconut curry with prawns was really well done. Prawns was the perfect protein for this dish. Only dish I was very satisfied with! It is quite heavy in coconut cream so may not be for everyone. 3. Garlic naan was crispy. Not the best, not the worst. 4. Mango lassi and salted lassi was disappointing. These drinks were very thick. I know these are supposed to be smoothies but it shouldn't be classified under "mocktails". The salted lassi tasted like savoury yogurt that's heaped with so much salt... we didn't understand why it's a drink? Overall, it's ok. The main curry was at least very good which saved the entire meal.

I don’t know how this restaurant has such high ratings. Being an Indian I am compelled to say that it had the worst Indian food I have eaten in a long time. It was two of us and we had two entrees - Papadi chaat and Colonel Tso’s cauliflower. Out of these two, cauliflower was okay but in both entrees, flavours were all over the place and there was something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on. Then the mains - Lamb rogan Josh and paneer makhani with naan basket. Lamb was so overcooked that it was literally in threads. Out of the two curries, paneer makhani was not bad but we couldn’t eat lamb besides tasting it initially, it was that bad. Out of naans, chive naan was good but other naans were not as soft. And then they charged two extra dollars for Paneer makhani. I never said anything because I felt embarrassed even trying to say that lamb is thread like and in the end you charged two extra dollars. I mean the two extra dollars are no big deal but still. I’d give it two stars. One for the ambience and second for the quick service.

We went here for the new years eve outdoor dining experience. Everything was phenomenal. The food was out of this world. The drinks were great and a big shout out to the amazing staff who were friendly and attentive. The best way to ring in the new year.
