295 Drummond St 3053, Melbourne
In love with the pizzas here, they are delicious, and you don’t have to wait long from ordering to eating. Prices are reasonable for what you’re getting. The dough itself is pretty good. Staff are friendly, parking can be difficult around the area, good luck! Also, be mindful, that this DOC only serves pizza, whereas their Lygon st location only serves pasta, I didn’t realise this as on google maps, the menu linked had both.
Added a dollar to every item we ordered. Menu says $25, i was charged $26 for a pickup order. No indication anywhere on the website or over the phone that this would be the case. A $77 dollar order for three pizzas was $80. Is $77 not already expensive enough?
Best pizza in Melbourne. Atmosphere is amazing too. Top quality food and drinks in a relaxed dining room.
Very delicious pizza!!! Also, it was interesting to learn a little bit about fresh mozzarella. Will deffo be back to try more mozzarella and pizza next time. Service was extremely good, staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was great, no doubt. The personal waiter was also lovely. However, if you're ordering drinks, order a couple at a time because they take a while. Unfortunately, I believe the "Manager", Julio was an absolute disgrace. I don't believe I have ever had an experience at a 61st Birthday party when a Manager has decided to abuse the patrons, including 80 year old grandparents out the front of a restaurant. Yes no doubt have a constructive, adult conversation however, the behaviour was disgusting and embarrassing for ourselves and also other patrons around. Really unfortunate because I think without his mannerism, the place could be really great.
My favourite place for pizza! The mushroom pizza here is to die for, I can happily finish one on my own. The cold cuts here are also very nice as I think they come fresh from the DOC deli around the corner. This place gets very very busy so you better come early. It can get very noisy inside so if you want a quieter area to chat, ask for an outside seat (if the weather is nice).
Very poor service. Staff lovely but manager very rude & disrespectful- swearing at us. Left & went to Southbank Doc restaurant- lovely manager, respectful and professional - total opposite.
A pizza with a tangy San Marzano tomato base, seriously good mozzarella, anchovies and Ligurian black olives on a soft and delecate base is your entree for a wonderful pizza and mozzarella bar. Add a glass of fruity light red from a region in Italy and you have a sublime food moment. Unfortunately the lasagna vegetable with truffle bechamel was too thick. Overall a great bar. And you have to love the huge 'Hello, Darling' welcome when you enter the white doors.
Whoever said this is the best pizza in Melbourne was right. The staff were knowledgeable about the fantastic wines too
Just to let everyone know that be prepared to pay 18% surcharge if you wish to visit this place on public holidays. We wanted to support local business during this hard time and it turns out to be ‘nah it’s not worth is because it’s the customers that get punished’. Got stung today at this restaurant and they lost us.
