City View Cafe

Was supposed to be a good day for us meeting our God son for brunch, we ordered a meal for four, our drinks arrived then the two meals for my friends, we told them to eat their food before it gets cold and sure our meal is on the way, so we waited, waited and waited my friends already finished their meals, and ours is no where to be seen the waitress told us it's coming until I saw another lady asked where her order also, so we decided to just cancel it and have a refund, the lady from the counter refund our meals but she still need to charge us for our coffee which I found it odd, I mean seriously.. No way I will be coming back there again, and so are my friends. O btw nice view...

If I say too many nice things about it, my 80 year old Irish mate and I won't be able to get a place for our daily meet up and chat session. So I won't say anything about the fabulous views, the fabulous coffee, the delicious meals that won't break your bank, and the incredibly nice friendly staff, like Chrystal, Natalena and Vicco. Nope...I won't say anything.........

Really good quality food in a great venue served by attentive staff.

Love this place. Out for Breakie arrived at 8am and was closed. Nothing on the website. Very disappointed

For the price you pay for a meal is absolute disgusting , quality other food and service was very poor, had to take our meals back twice as they stuffed it up...definitely dont recommend eating here..I knowmost our friends have e also said same...eat at the Camfield much better quality food, service and price is great.

I would have given 5 stars if the service was better. Told the front counter my name and my mobile number. He said he will give me a call when the table for two was ready. So I told him that I will go for a walk along the bridge and he said he would call me. But he didn’t. I waited for an hour which was disappointing. When I went back to the counter, he has forgotten about his promise and had other customers occupying table for twos. Please do not promise a service if you cannot deliver. Food wise was excellent, cafe service was very good and the view was awesome but the wait was too long (around 30 minutes for just the drinks). I would come back again. The front counter service staff must be better trained.

Absolutely incompetent staff and management. Great view but never going back. They need training on customer service skills. They will ruin the place with the incompetent staff. Update - I was approached by the Assistant Catering Manager Mr David Swyny, who addressed my complaint very professionally and provided me with an acceptable resolution. I will go back and try the venue again.

Friendly staff and efficient service. Great for a meal with a view before the football.

Lovely location right next to the river with views of the new bridge and the city. The cafe itself is very clean and nicely appointed. It has everything to be a truly wonderful experience. Sadly the drinks were tepid and the food lukewarm. Such a shame.

Amazing sticky date pudding and cappuccino.
