The food was really tasty and good. The delicious marinate for the Charcoal Chicken Pocket goes through the soft tender chicken brilliantly. The Slow Cooked Lamb Pilaf Rice is rich, with lean lamb meat and full of flavour, without it swimming in fatty juices. Highly recommended!

Mindblowing fare. My wife and I are absolutely smitten with the mixed meat platter. The food and service is so good we're going to be regulars.

Amazing food, falafels were crispy and delicious and the pockets had a good balance of different flavours and textures. Would recommend the hibiscus drink as well

True to Newtown flair, Cairo Takeaway has a certain style which feels inviting and makes you want to come back again and again. The food, as always, is very tasty, the service fast and the tunes pumping. Great for veggies and vegans!

Very tasty food for reasonable prices. The portions are large (great for sharing) and the staff are friendly. Usually packed out so prepare to wait! Highly recommended!

A very unique restaurant in Newtown. This was was packed when I visited on a Thursday night without booking. Definitely worth the wait. Food came out almost instantly, staff was nice and friendly too. The Lamb was great and mix vegetables was also really good.

Best food I have ever had in Sydney I literally could eat there everyday. I wish I could live there and have their food in every meal . I've been there 5 hours ago and can't wait to go back. They gave me hope for a better world. I'm truly renewed. I think Cairo city was named after this restaurant.
