Also loved the Salmon Miso Yaki with wild rice puff and a tangy lemon.
Had an amazing meal at Brother Shota , featuring the shota bento box, matcha soba, salmon nori taco and salmon miso yaki. Fresh and delicate flavours, and wonderfully executed. The crispy nori taco is a must try, and I love the selection of yummy goodies in the bento box.
Great Japanese joint with reasonable prices. The bento box is good value
Not too bad. Visited twice recently. I know that it is almost impossible to find authentic level of sushi or Japanese foods outside of Japan. Anyways their foods just looks fine but not that tasty. Also we ordered two main dishes and two side menu, it took more than one hour and half to get the one of the main dish for real for real. But in terms of creativity, Okonomiyaki stick was quite nice. Only one young asian man staff was gentle and smart. Seems like he was the only one who work hard.
Exceptional Food Brother Shota is my all time favourite restaurant, we normally visit at least every second week and although we have other Japanese restaurants we love, this is by far our first choice. The staff are attentive and friendly and always look after us. The food is exceptional, There has never been one meal that I have been disappointed with, but there are a few stand outs. The Kingfish carpaccio is just sublime, this is actually heaven on a plate. The prawn Gyoza is the best gyoza I have ever had not to mention the Volcano Roll, Shota no beef rib that just melts in your mouth and delicious sashimi every time. You guys are amazing and we just have to keep coming back.
Have been 3 times since it opened a few months ago. The food is very good, especially the smaller dishes and the sushi. Service is friendly, attentive and quick. It's a lovely place, a little pricey maybe, but I'll continue to be back here regularly. The music and atmosphere is modern and relaxing.
Came with 5 other people. Took over an hour for food to arrive. Offered no apologies or acknowledgement for it. Ordered pork mince ramen which literally had 2 pieces/morsels of pork mince. Definitely will not return.
Extensive with their gluten free choices (some limitation as the deep fryer is shared). My coeliac wife was able to try a volcano roll for the first time.
