If we could give it more than 5 stars we would. High standard staff, well knowledge, friendly, fantastic value and service and the food was excellent. Even the drinks were fantastic. Will highly recommend to friends and family. Will be back soon

Everything was very good, except.... The most disappointingly small oysters we have ever seen. We had them 3 ways. 18 in total. Nothing at all in tassie compares to them. Probably about one third the size of others we had. Were we on candid camera? Steaks were delicious. Wines and wine suggestions great. Overall it was a 3.5 experience, let down by the oysters, which were commented as being so small I couldn't taste them.

Perfection. Food was amazing, so tasty and full of flavor, cooked to perfection. Only issue for me was tables are too close to each other for comfort.

Stand out Rib eye on the bone. perfectly cooked. You could tell they even re-seared/oven finished the rib bone after they cut the steak off so those who liked picking off the bone could enjoy. Nice wine list and very very good service

Top notch in every way. We had the 300g porterhouse steak and it was done just right - melt in your mouth and very filling! Even the accompanying potato galette was fabulous. I had a glass of SA Shiraz which was simply divine. Service was impeccable. I can understand why the food and wine here is so highly rated. Highly recommended!

I have never not eaten a steak at a restaurant in my life. Here was the 1st time. It was the porterhouse. Atmosphere 1 star, food 1 star, service 5 stars. Maybe I was having a bad day, but still I honestly thought the steak was way below par. The prices are too high and the wine list, well let’s just it’s overpriced and doesn’t include enough good Tasmanian wines...

Are there more than 5 stars?! We need them. Restaurant. Amazing. Ambiance. Amazing. Staff. Amazing. Food. Amazing. Beverage selection. Amazing. Can't begin to tell you. Just go down there. All of it. Spectacular.

The Black Cow logo has been inspired by the amazing ancient artworks in the Lascaux Caves in France. Carbon dating indicates that these paintings are more than 17,000 years old. Black Cow, the name, is a tribute to the Bos Genus… Historically the cow has been important to many cultures. It has been seen and worshiped as a symbol of contentedness, fecundity, the passive yet creative and generative powers of nature, patience, nourishment, abundance, fertility and equifinality. It is also, of course, an excellent source of protein.
