Only had 45mins as we were going to a show. They sat us down, told us what they can make in that amount of time and our meals were delicious. Great attentive service, great atmosphere. Will be going back when we have more time.

We have come here many times. From an unassuming entrance off Collins Street, you can expect to be wowed by plenty of delicious food, from entrees to desserts. Efficient and knowledgeable waiting staff can help you pair fine wines with your meals. The duck risotto I had was so flavoursome and packed a mouth explosion. An old favourite bouillabaisse never fails to impress. The chocolate mouse is so velvety and leaves a memorable high note to your palate. The team is led by Simone, and he'll make sure your stay is memorable. The bistro deserves all the positive accolades from all these reviews.

Saturday night booking 8pm We ordered: bouillabaisse entre size, duck liver pate, goats cheese souffle, rib eye steak cooked medium, creme brulee, short black and espresso martini to finish. Upon arrival we were greeted instantly by staff and shown to our table, despite the fact it was busy. Throughout the whole experience, the staff were very attentive, with our waiter going above and beyond to provide recommendations on other restaurants to visit as well as speaking to the chef to help us find a sake bar to drink at. The whole vibe of this place is cozy/intimate and feels warm and inviting. The food was great, the steak was cooked perfectly, the wine selection was also great. Overall the food and outstanding wait staff provides for a very comfortable and well spent evening.

Incredible food, absolutely loved it! The goats cheese soufflé is absolutely divine, as is the prawns and scallops St Jacques, the gin & dill cured Atlantic salmon, calamari and creme brûlée. Favourite restaurant in Melbourne so far ❤️

Lunch at Bistrot D'orsay, I decided to try a few typically French dishes I have not eaten before. Steak Tartare - wow, this is so delicious! There's a lovely balance with the pickle juice of the cornichons providing the right amount of acidity, a slight peppery flavour from the horseradish as well as a creaminess from the Parmesan custard, the quail egg helps tie it all together, tender beef cut fine, crunch from the mini toast, a nice punchy salad to round it all off. Bouillabaisse - Marseilles' famous soup of prawns, scallops, fish & mussels in a saffron, tomato, fennel broth with crouton & rouille Another standout dish perfect for the cold weather. The broth is packed full of flavour and depth, the seafood flavour evident amongst the rich tomato. Lots of tender perfectly cooked seafood which I love. Succulent scallops, tender mussels, chunky prawns, yummy fish. I used the bread to clean the bowl. So warming and now so full! Such a lovely ambience to enjoy such fine French fare. #FrenchFood #finedining #steaktartare #beef #Bouillabaisse #soup #prawn #seafood #scallop #fish #lunchtime #foodcoma #foodie #melbournefood #melbournecbd @zomatomelb
