Bistro Rex

Me and my sister celebrated our birthdays at Bistro Rex! It was such a memorable day, we met some people at Bistro, the waitresses are so professional but easy to talk with! They brought us birthday icecream! And the duck main was so special! The meat was so tender and perfect!

Bistro Rex is the perfect neighbourhood restaurant as far as I’m concerned. Whether you get dressed up for a night out with friends, or you drop by for a bite after a movie, you are never disappointed. The food is consistently delicious. Not tricked up. Not pretentious. Just good produce thoughtfully and beautifully cooked. The service is friendly and professional and I could very happily eat here every week (we almost do, but not quite). I hope they never leave.

A very pleasant way to while away a wet languid Sunday afternoon. Our crab omelette was wonderful, the roast chicken was OK, the sides with it delicious; a more reasonable entry-point wine sub $70 a bottle would be my recommendation.

Absolutely wonderful. We arrived without a booking and they kindly squeezed us in. The service was friendly with just the right amount of attention. The venue had a great feel, a real buzz but not too noisy. The food was excellent, we each had 3 courses and couldn't fault anything. I can't wait to return to this great restaurant.

The food, the service, the ambience. It was all amazing! And what a treat the 1kg lamb shoulder was. This was the perfect venue for our wedding anniversary and we will most definitely be back. Thank you so much!

It really is wonderful to see so many happy people all in one venue. Must be the result of experienced operators that care deeply about what they put on the plate, how they delivery it to the table and the beverages they serve with it. The team at Bistro Rex are second to none and our experience has restored our faith in Sydney dining where the options seem to be increasingly corporatized. This will now be a got to for us!

Excellent service—ambience and food especially the Pissaladiere..

The perfect place for a party. Venue was awesome, service outstanding and food divine. We had 25 in the party space. Made for a memorable event. My new favourite restaurant. Thanks Baci and team.
