Imagine you have some children under 12 to entertain. You don't have a huge budget and you want it to be a life long memory. Visiting the big rocking horse will just be the place to go.
It was a very enjoyable experience for myself and two granddaughters. It is great for family and friends to get together in a beautiful Adelaide Hills setting. Great fun. Lots to do. Yummy food with plenty of options. ๐๐๐๐ญ๐งโ๐ซ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ง
$2 to go up the BIG rocking horse, $2 for the animal enclosure, $2 for a bag of animal food. Decent food at the cafe. Worth the trip.
Iconic place with wonderful animal park. You can feed animals and they are very friendly. Climbing the giant horse was so much fun.
Wonderful visit for kids, if they are scared of heights and ladders should stay away from climbing the horse. There is a decent restaurant as well where you can grab a bite to eat and a toy factory to empty your pockets.
A nice place to take kids especially. 45 minutes ride from Adelaide CBD. be mindful you have to climb up the stairs and if there are young kids you might have to carry them up and bring them down in arms. Toy facctory shop is a must visit. Nice souveniers collection and wooden toys. The animal park is small like 20 minutes walking area but still the kids enjoy the walk-lama , peacock, kabgaroos are the major animals. Cafe is nice spqcious to hold small birthday parties and good meal options. Overall a bucket list worth ticking off
Good fun place for kids
I can't wholeheartedly say this place is awesome. It's basically a wood toy shop with a mini animal attraction. Was particularly surprised that you can pick up a peacock feather from the animal enclosure but charges you $4 for the privilege. If they could add some woodworking education or some 'see it being made' that would have made a big difference. Maybe another suggestion is to pay an entry fee once to get to do all things.
Great fun for all. Great food well priced, option to bring picnic. Lovely toy shop and the animal area is brill, chance to feed a kangaroo and emu. Climb to the top of the horse itself is fun and manageable for my 3.5 year old.
The animals in the petting are friendly. The wooden toys are great and there is a huge variety. Great spot to take the family for lunch, morning tea or afternoon tea. Plus you can climb the big rocking horse for $2.
