Awesome atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious food. We got the linguine and the penne. Both were flavoursome and a bit spicy (if you're anything like me and you can't handle much spice consider yourself warned). I reckon the linguine was nicer, so if your tossing up between the two go for linguine.

So nice we went twice ✌🏽I really enjoyed it here. The food was incredible and the ambiance was great! Also the staff was very welcoming and friendly and also prompt. The first time we came here we didn’t make a reservation and luckily we were able to make it just in time before other people had to wait. We sat down right away and began to order. I got the crab linguine and my wife ordered crab salad. Also how can I forget the amazing fish tacos as an appetizer! The fish tacos and the crab linguine was the highlight of food out here in Byron Bay! Then second time we came back was last night and we made a reservation through the phone with no problem to make on the same day. I ordered the same thing and my wife ordered just two fish tacos as her main dish. We also ordered the duck fat chips which was some awesome french fries. I definitely recommend it. It’s always busy so make sure to make a nice reservation with outside seating. The first time we sat inside but the second time we were able to to sit outside and face the streets and people watch. It was an all around 5/5 experience at the balcony. You will not be disappointed. πŸ‘πŸ½

Pricey spot. Looks good but cocktails are weak and expensive. To be fair most of Byron Bay is overpriced these days.

Great food and service on our dinner booking. Atmosphere is a great, perhaps a little noisy if you’re looking for somewhere calm or for an intimate dinner. We had a great time though and enjoyed the vibe. The crab linguine is a must order! Absolutely divine.

We had the loveliest time at balcony bar! Came in with my husband for his birthday and the staff were fantastic! Our waitress was Carolina was so bubbly and so hospitable, making sure we had the drinks we were after. It was the best experience!

Outstanding experience. Head waitress found us a table without reservation. Pacific and Sydney Rock Oysters were super fresh and first rate. All produce clean, authentic flavours and perfectly prepared. Ocean trout and salad a stand-out. Chef Jordan delivered desserts personally. Highly recommended!

This has to be the best bar in Byron. I hadn't booked but the lovely waitress afforded us twenty minutes for a quick beer. They were heavily booked however went out of their way to accommodate us. Five hours later my friend and i were still enjoying the superb hospitality of this venue. The food, vibe and service was excellent and affordable. It's a must try when visiting Byron..

Cauliflower curry and crab linguine are tasteful. The menu in general is great and generous with a good selection of wine The atmosphere is nice with a lot of attention to details. Perfect location. That being said service is really, really low level and not aligned with the prices and the beauty of the place (the staff is too young with no experience of service... and obviously most of them are not interested in level up their skill). It is a pity as it leaves you with this feeling you just had diner/lunch in a average place. Take this into consideration if you want to celebrate a special occasion as places like The loft or The Treehouse offer a better global experience.

Description

Meters back from legendary main beach, Balcony Bar & Oyster Co sits perched high above the hustle and bustle of Byron Bays busy streets. This heritage listed building is reminiscent of a seaside beach house. The signature wrap around deck captures the setting sun and is the perfect place to tuck into some freshly shucked oysters with an icy cold beer or a glass or rose. Executive Chef Sean Connolly has prepared a menu reflecting his signature style of cooking; simple, approachable and where possible on the bone or in the shell, allowing the produce to speak for itself. Balcony Bar & Oyster Co. exudes a neighbourhood spot where you can drop by anytime for a drink with friends and a few oysters or small plates.
