Cute little restaurant, i consider it a hidden gem. Authentic decor and the food has a very home made sort of feel/taste to it. Great customer service, what you see is what you get. Had not been before and i will definitely be returning, considering how much of a great experience i had. Affordable as well as being very tasty. Rate this place a lot.
We'd been craving great Lebanese food ever since we visited Lebanon three years ago, and we finally found it at Abla's. There was plenty to choose from and a lot of variety. I can highly recommend the mixed dips, the fattoush salad and the baked cauliflower entree. With the addition of Arak and Lebanese wine, I was very satisfied. It's a little on the pricey side for us, so it was a treat.
Much more upscale than I expected. The servers were friendly, just the right balance between formal and casual. The food was exquisite - loved the chicken and the lamb. Don’t go too crazy on the dips and pitta as you’ll need good appetite for the rest.
Love their starters.. the hummus n pita is great! The liver fry and lamb sausage too.. That lime juice in rose water was heavenly..
Refresh my understanding of grill meat!Love it!Signature restaurant in Melbourne.
I haven't been here for over 10 years & although it's lost a little of its old world charm the food & service was still magnificent. Plenty of vegan options too which makes it a great option when you've got vegetarian and vegan mates.
A truly remarkable restaurant. The food is fabulous. The staff are lovely. Its been open for decades and they just know how to run a restaurant. The food is exceptional. Put it on the bucket list.
Had the Banquet menu last night & it was delicious. Wonderful food, wine & served by beautiful people. The place felt like you were in a friends' warm, cosy lounge room!
The quality of food and service has really deteriorated over the years. It used be beautiful authentic generous portioned food served with warmth. It has changed drastically and based on my latest visit won't go back. There are so many other middle eastern options that are as casual and better value for money or pay slightly more for fine dining middle Eastern at Mahas with amazing service. Don't bother sending the restaurant a complaint online they won't respond.
Easy to understand why Abla's has been around so long. A definite Melbourne institution.
