I am sure this will become 'a must eat here' for modern Asian food in Hobart. Located to the side of the Iris Styles Hobart property - it is a large, airy, spacious and colourful eating space serving a great take on Asian cuisine. There are 'small' or 'large' choices from the extensive menu. Couple that with a bar set at the front of the premises ... Think this will be a drink-after-work spot for many working in that part of the city. Can't wait for the alley-way come summer. The prospect of al fresco dining there appeals

I am Chinese. I think AWU is the best Chinese food in Hobart. Very delicious. The staff is kind. When I took my birthday party in AWU this year. They give us two main courses free. Very nice

I eat at many restaurants around Hobart. This place may not seem it by first appearance, but its food stands out among its local counterparts, hence my five out of five rating. This restaurant is comfortable, clean, light, warm, and welcoming. It has a 'light' atmosphere. My favourite aspect of this place is the genuine quality of food. The menu is far less congested than most, which I love. Each dish is a genuine healthy option, and unlike many Asian restaurants I have eaten at, each dish is distinctly different. I spoke with the Vietnamese co-owner "Tiffany" (husband and wife team), about their business, and I was enthralled to learn about the passion and determination they have towards providing real, healthy food. (The prices are quite reasonable also. I would happily pay more for the food I was served.) I had the "Beef Noodle Soup" (Pho Tai) with added vegetables, garlic, and fresh chili on the side, and "Prawns and Pork Rice Paper Rolls with Bean Sauce". Both dishes were superb and made fresh (even the Bean Sauce was remarkable).

Fantastic place!!! Went with my partner and his kids to celebrate finishing uni and high school. Positives:- Fresh fresh food that you cook in a pot of amazing Asian infused stock on your table. Creates a lot of fun when sharing. Decor is warm, service is excellent and priced are really reasonable. Negatives:- NONE

The toughest critic for any Singapore food is a homesick Singaporean. This is by far the most authentic Singaporean food I've had in a long time, better than some overrated stores back home!

Wow! The best banh mi in Tasmania! maybe the world. I have been working in Hobart city for 15 years and this is without a doubt the best place I have been for lunch. The banh mi was sublime, the kebab was beautiful, it has so many flavours, and cooked to perfection. and the Vietnamese iced coffee was unbelievable. And the service is the best aswell. Do yourself a favour, and go here.

Would have got 5 stars if serving size was a bit larger as prices are a bit high for what you get
Lovely service and great food. A very affordable lunch menu as well.
