Having moved to Brisbane from Sydney I discovered a lack of comprehensive providors. First discovered James Street Market which lifted my spirits somewhat, but then The Gasworks arrived and with it the Standard Market Company. I can honestly say that it is the best of it's kind anywhere in the country. I find things there that I didn't know existed such as pickled walnuts for instance. Also found a great selection of American ingredients (vital for some recipes) and a fabulous selection of cheeses. This is a culinary enthusiasts dream come true.

Came here with my pooch for Saturday breakfast. Service was amazing; normally counter order but when they saw I had my dog they let me place my order from the table. Had the miso chilli eggs and thoroughly enjoyed - would have again. They even bought out a water bowl and bed for my dog!

Coffee was good. Great potential here, bit of work needed with service.

Quite bitter coffee, but pleasant enough. Relatively quiet in mid-morning.

Wonderfully fresh options, and perrrrfectly cooked salmon, huzzah!! Pretty much like having a restaurant meal in a convenient (and price-friendly) takeaway form! Love it.

Very tasty indeed! Authentic Greek food and wine, beautiful Greek music and interior. Just had stuffed peppers with lemon potatoes and salad and a glass of Greek wine. I've had lots of Greek food before but this is a stand out. So damn good.

New business off to a great start. Really friendly service and excellent coffee. Single O on the grinder. Hope they can keep it up.

My husband and I went on this september 2011, it was fantastic, great food, great gondola driver, very private and intimate, beats going to a resturant anyday
After hearing about the Betty's Burgers hype for months, we just had to try these burgs at the new store in Newstead. Let me say - not bloody bad, I was impressed. Burgers were definitely tasty overall, meat was tender and flavoursome (with just the right amount of grease) and their special sauce is divine. Mwah! The only criticism I have - and I'm assuming this is a Betty's Burgers chain problem overall - is that portion sizes are kind of on the small size compared with other burger joints. The burgers aren't super filling, and the sides are very overpriced for what you get (teeny tiny side of onion rings for $6!). However, definitely worth the try to anyone who hasn't experienced B' Burgs yet!
