Madame Shanghai
4.5
/ 209

18 College St, Darlinghurst 2010, Sydney

Staff we're REALLY wonderful, they made the experience, very helpful and lovely while not being snooty and pushy. Food was great, lots of yummy vegetarian options and the chef was happy to change some things to suit. I also really like the fit out and the vibe, nicer than your average place, without being too over the top! Will return.

Old Town Hong Kong On Barangaroo

T3.03B, Mercantile Walk Barangaroo Avenue 2000, Sydney

ocated directly opposite The Canteen, Old Town Hong Kong is a popular option for lunchtime meals. Renowned for their dumplings and Cantonese-style roast meats (duck, soy sauce chicken, and crispy pork belly), Old Town Hong Kong also offers tasting plates and meal combinations, tailored for quick and convenient lunchtime meal service at the right price point.

Holy Duck!

The Old Rum Store, Kensington Street, Chippendale 2008, Sydney

Omg yum! Amazing spring rolls, roast duck & bao. The non-duck options sounded good too

/ 303

Piccadilly Tower 133 - 145 Castlereagh St Piccadilly Tower, Shop 38 Level 1 2000, Sydney

Brilliant city centre yum cha that's always packed by 12.05pm. Basic decor but the food is super-tasty and plentiful.

Chinese Noodle Restaurant
4.0
/ 254

160 Thomas St Haymarket 2000, Sydney

The most authentic, speedy Chinese experience you can get. If you're looking for showy service and a relaxed environment then go somewhere else. If you're looking for the best Chinese food and cheapest dumplings then come here.

Lotus The Galeries
4.0
/ 244

The Galeries, Level 1, 500 George St The Galeries Level 1 2000, Sydney

Swanky little Chinese restaurant / bar at The Galleries. If you're here for dinner give the deep fried tofu with salt and wild fire dukkah and dry fried hokkien noodles with XO sauce a go. Service is good though food is extremely pricey.

Xi'an Biang Biang
4.1
/ 223

Shop 39 1 Dixon St 2000, Sydney

Can be really busy during lunch time. Preparation can take a while, but it was worth the wait. I ordered the chilli noodle which is quite spicy by my standard, you could taste the noodle is hand made on the spot not which is extremely important for any decent noodle shop. The girls next to me ordered the Pao Mo soup which they reckon was really nice as well.

Zensation Tea House
4.9
/ 126

160/806 Bourke St 2017, Sydney

very tranquil atmosphere where you get lost in time enjoying the delightful teas and company, the service is excellent and you gain knowledge and insight into the traditions of drinking fine Chiinese teas served with traditional china and in the traditional way. Very 1920's Shanghai. It is very easy to find just look out for the red lanterns on the corner of Burke and Cleveland street.

Sky Phoenix
3.5
/ 344

188 Pitt St Level 6 Shop 6001 Westfield 2000, Sydney

One of my fav places to go yumcha in the city! It's a little on the expensive side but their dimsims are quite delicious

Sea Bay Restaurant
4.0
/ 230

372 Pitt St Haymarket, 2000, Sydney

Tasty tasty dumplings, and an awesome chicken salad. Queues can be ridiculous since they got into the Good Food Guide though.

Lotus Dumpling Bar
4.2
/ 193

U 3 16 Hickson Rd Dawes Point 2000, Sydney

Finally some new life has been breathed into Walsh Bay. The dumplings are good but surprisingly the stand out dish was the fried rice. From the same guys behind Firefly, the fit out is impressive, the wine list very decent and best of all it really has a buzz that the area has been lacking of late. Well worth a visit even if it only for a per-dinner tipple.
