Chifley's Bar and Grill
4.2
/ 58

8 National Cct 2600, Canberra

As far as a tasty selection of well cooked steaks go - Chifleys in it's new form has cornered the market. have been there twice and it's worth the few extra dollars you pay for the tasty steaks. Get a few sides but don't overdo it - portions are very decent. Great wine list featuring some nice local Canberra district wines as well as some from further afield. Happy to reccomend to friends and family locally or who are visiting Canberra.

Burger Craft
4.6
/ 44

6 National Circuit, Barton 2600, Canberra

It seems theres always room for another burger joint. Thing is, you've got to do it right - well, if you want to hang around. To start with, these guys do burgers and beers. Thats always going to help. We enjoyed our first sampling so much that we came back to check out some other burgers. I've managed to sneak in a craft beef burger and a southern chicken. Both very tasty. Nice beefy tasting patty, and importantly, not over cooked. The chicken was also tasty with a nice crunchy coating. We also tested out the sweet potato chips which were really yummt, but i reckon the chips were fsntadtic. Super crunchy. Check it out, but don't leave it too late - the line gets real lomg real fast!

Charlie's Sala Thai Restaurant Tuggeranong ACT
4.1
/ 62

5/146 Reed St Tuggeranong 0, Canberra

Charlie's Sala Thai is something of an institution in Tuggeranong, it has been winning awards since 2004. The restaurant is across the road from the Hyperdome and so parking is easy. Inside it looks like most Thai restaurants - unpretentious layout with an array of Thai and Buddhist pictures (and the Thai Royal Family, of course!). I took my family there for dinner to escape Christmas leftovers. There were 9 of us so we ordered the $30 banquet. While the food was more than plentiful, we added a serve of soft shell crab (mainly because my mother had never tried it). Every dish was a pleasure to eat; light, fresh and flavourful. The food is consistently excellent, based on the freshest ingredients and a clean cooking style, I was delighted that the sauces had not been thickened and so avoided that claginess you sometimes get with anglicised Asian food. Excellent as the food is, it is the service that really sets Charlie's apart, our waitress was a dream - quick, efficient and charming. At the end of the meal Charlie came out of the kitchen to meet us, a charming end to a delightful meal. Overall an excellent and affordable meal. Food * * * * * Service * * * * * Venue * * * *

Great pho with lots of options. The duck pho was especially awesome.

Nosh
3.9
/ 70

Lower Ground, Bunda St, Canberra Centre 2608, Canberra

Enjoyed my poke bowl with 63 degree egg. Good for a healthy, quick and filling lunch. I like that fact that we have already reached peak 2019 with Kombucha on tap. Would have given a 5 although the glassware was pretty filthy.
