Wandered into Bells yesterday for lunch, dramatic improvements have been made. Killer steak sandwich. The new owner has refurbed the hotel, smashed down walls and pumped its lungs full of oxygen. Nice to see bells is back on track to reclaim former glory days. Spoke the the guy behind the bar and he said there is going to be a roof top deck and full on function rooms upstairs. Hope its in time for summer.
A really quality seafood restaurant which focus on lightly cooked/ grilled fish rather than deep fried. Look out for entertainment each night, ranging from live music to silent movies on the big screen. The staff are wonderfully attentive and have a real passion for what thy do. Decent German beer on tap seals the deal.
I've been watching the new build (and rebuild) for a few years and am glad to see the place is in spectacular condition and close to completion looking forward to seeing what the inside is like ?? Dane & Co have put up with a lot and lets hope that all goes great from now on. see you there soon ! GOOD LUCK !!
Westside has the perfect balance between the warm tones of a great beer and the crispness of locally sourced world class hops. Not only is the beer first rate, but the staff is charming. Ask for the owners, Casey and Leah, and take a tour!
Excellent new cafe from the owners of Left Field and Plain Sailing. Beautiful cafe space that’s large, bright and airy, with very friendly service. Menu is similar yet different to the sibling cafes. The Zucchini and Pea fritters are sensational- these guys really know how to blend lots of individual flavours into one perfect dish. Definitely coming back to try the Salt Bush Lamb! Coffee is excellent; beans are from Niccolo.
Amazing Luxury feel and food to die for . Award winning chef Brendan McQueen delivers something special. Great place for a drink with friends with a great vibe.
Ash and Verlin make coffee to die for, so well made, such love for such a great commodity that is coffee...
Great vibe and food is fairly yummy. Meal sizes are a little small and no X factor. Worth going to for breakfast but probably skip the lunch.
Newly opened Japanese Restaurant in South Melbourne, I’ve been here a couple of time now. Am not giving this place a 5 Star just yet as there are few improvements they need to do get me to give 5 Star! The food well it’s sophisticated yet simple, some thing are overly sophisticated or just trying to hard. Is it Izakaya? Modern Japanese? I couldn’t tell from the menu, it’s mix and match menu right now, I’ll give it couple of month to get they identity right. But don’t get me wrong, it is wonderful restaurant, food is great, drink menu is minimal but well thought, deco is warm, romantic yet casual, staff are friendly, always happy to help with a smile. Give it a go!! You will not be disappointed. I’ll go back in couple of month to see how they developed. Looking forward to that day. See you soon!!
Excellent market for meat and vegetables as well as loads of cooking stuff
