Slow and lethargic service from a waiter that just simply dumped your orders on the table. Food was un-inspiring. With so many other fantastic cafes, it badly needs to up its game.

Live locally and unfortunately adding Chez Dre to the list of “won’t come back” places. Service was slow and the can’t-be-bothered attitude almost had us walk out. Staff were more interested in comparing things on their phones. Food was mediocre, coffee was great. Previous experiences pre-COVID were fine.

GOOD FOOD BUT BAD TIME MANAGEMENT Went to try for the first time - having heard the food was good... it was! Well presented, quirky and a decent menu range. The setting is nice. There are indoor and outdoor areas. We chose outdoors and it had a very mediterranean feel with an ivy-covered wall and large sun umbrellas. Indoors is a bit more formal but also a lot noisier. My three stars was awarded for the poor time management... otherwise it would have been 4 stars. We had expected to wait - and we did for about ten minutes - but it became obvious very quickly that they both delayed allocating a table (a number were free while we waited) and then very much delayed sending out our order (we waited almost 40 minutes from ordering to delivery). Either get more kitchen staff or tell potential customers there will be a half hour wait.....we'd have been fine with the latter. After a comment to the waiter (who, to be fair, was quite responsive) and a zero tip on paying we were offered our coffees for free.. a nice gesture (which we accepted) but I'm not sure I will be returning. People with mobility issues will have some difficulty as the front entry is up a few steps and the back entry - although at one consistent level - is accessed via an uneven cobblestone alleyway.

I love this place! Great vibe, friendly staff, modern interior and nice music. I was very satisfied with the service, the staff was welcoming and patient. The food was tasty too, the baguette and eggs were great. However, the coffee could be better, it was lukewarm and plain taste. The menu can be improved, the choice was limited and wasn’t very exciting. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast and will definitely come back!

It was a little bit difficult to find this cafe. I thought I found it When I saw its signboard， but it was not. It is not at the main road, you need to to there by the path. The coffee was amazing! I ordered a cup of latte, the taste was very rich. I also ordered the ocean brunch (I can not remember the name), fish was delouse. And the service was great! Thanks the waiter Ben, he gave us a great service!

Hidden gem is South Melbourne. This French cafe offers a great selection of meals and French patisseries. We had eggs benny and the breakfast plate with rosemary lamb sausages, un délice! The place is very nice and the outdoor area is quiet and secluded. Big tables inside for groups. Staff can be a bit loud when they handle piles of plates near the open kitchen if you eat inside.

Haven't returned this Cafe over one year. My friend and I dropped in last minute on last Saturday afternoon. New Menu is impressive and great service. Coffee and brunch both attracted us. Would love to try other options next time. Thank you for the great time we spent there, very delighted. Big smile :-))))
