I've been to Kate's Berry Farm several times, and enjoyed it every time. Great icecreams, and lots of other goodies too. Kate's lovely to talk with (if you can catch her!), and it's amazing to see what she has done there through her determination. Ignore those older reviews complaining that there were no berries - clearly those people aren't familiar with the concept of seasons (!!).... If you're not sure, just give them a call before heading there! It's definitely worth a visit :-)

Bakery, Cafe, Bistro, Tavern, Situated Main highway Swansea, a very modern, light bright, spacious Cafe/bakery, Tavern. Out doors an open dedicated Al fresco area, playground, with ample parking. For food, drink, relaxing and bakery supplies, this bakery would be difficult to pass. The quality of breads, pastries, biscuits, buns, cakes, quiche, gourmet filled rolls etc, is as the locals would tell you, "The best on the East Coast". We throughly enjoyed both a scallop & currie, and a chunky steak Pie, freshly baked, accompanied by a great coffee. The coffee is, Mocopan Pasquade, winner coffee blend 2007, by a very good barista. On offer an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, with hot and cold drinks. The uniqueness of this venue makes it a must visit. The Bakery is open 6am - 4pm 7 days.

As with most shops that make their chips, they are having issues sourcing good quality potatoes this time of year. But they do good chips for the spuds they are dealing with. Burgers and fish are great.

Good old RSL, cannot really go wrong. Locals know best. Quaint RSL, warm friendly atmosphere. Basic menu, just the std parmy, steak, tassie scollop with salad or chips. My wife had the scollops, which were a hit. I had the Parmy, this was ok, they just needed to cook the bacon a little bit more on the top. Std pub prices for meals. Menu was a bit small, but this the little hamlet of Swansea, so I will let that pass. If you want a nice RSL, with a homely atmosphere, where you blow in for a overnight stay, and are considered a local after 5 minutes. Then this is the place. :)

Most places in Australia do beer battered fish for their fish and chips. That's OK if your fish tastes like crap. But you lose the flavor of the fish if it's good. Oyster Bay offers breaded fish or battered. The breading is lighter, allowing the fish to shine through. They also offer four different fish to choose from for their fish and chips. Excellent chips too!
