49 The Strand, Port Elliot
Amazing coffee
Good service
Awesome place
This is seriously the best coffee I have had, possibly ever. Fantastic!!!
So we had a couple of large latte take away coffees and they were the worst ever, watery barely tasting of coffee and not even warm, the staff were keen to act smart but obviously don't know how to serve or make coffees. One star is to be honest a steal, i hope this attitude will change. The picture shows their large coffee cup compared to the Port Elliot bakery's medium sized, just to give an idea what $6 buys you here vs $6 for a much better and tastier coffee from the bakery.
Coffee was OK. Large is not large by any standard. Toastie was tasty, but way too small as well. Wifey wasnt happy. Disappointed for the price - $38 for tiny coffees and tiny toasties. Never again.
Nice mild coffee, friendly staff. Busy. Service a bit slow, fine if chilling out but if in a hurry, well. Plenty if outdoor tables and chairs. Dog friendly.
Little hole is the wall serving coffee off the main stripe of Port Elliott. Lovely lady served us.
Coffee could be the best option for the area, unfortunately the too-cool-for-school kids running the show have no customer service savvy whatsoever. Not a smile, always seemingly annoyed by people bothering them for their product.. not sure why the owner(s?) are comfortable with their staff providing less than memorable experiences to the many visitors that hand over their cash for apathy in return. A lot of the crew here could really pick up their game and help the cafe become a staple for the area, instead of focusing on their style and clothing over customer service.
Cute little outdoor area for coffee. The three cheese toastie is average. Comes on paper plates with a side of packet chips/crisps and dollop of relish sauce stuff. Sprinkled with salt chunks. Coffee is best requested as strong if you want to taste anything. My disappointment is further encouraged... All you morning people after coffees and a basic bite of food, Don't expect to have use of the venue's toilets unless the bar is open. No valid reason provided for this other than, we just don't do it and it isn't up to me. But the young woman later agreed that it could be up to her. Apparently they get dirty... Um.. Yes toilets get dirty from use and require cleaning. It's not a reason to not provide facilities to your customers. A disappointing end to our stay in Port Elliot.
