Star of the place is actually the view and the ample outdoor dog friendly seating. Really nice coffee, suited for long black more than milk based, food is decent but nothing special, tad expensive. Very friendly service.
Really beautiful location for lunch or coffee. Several gluten free cake choices available, and good coffee. The stand out here was the scenery though, as the majority of seating is outside in a garden patio area. Plenty of space for wheelchair movement as the tables are well spaced in the patio area
Great dog friendly eatery with stunning natural surroundings. Staff are really nice. Food is average but it's worth it to be able to sit amongst the birds and trees. Hey even have a dog menu which is ultra cute. Rosie loves the chicken pasta!
Horrible and cold food. I asked the waitress to replace my bacon, she said she would but never returned. It was like they didn't replace it on purpose. Paid huge price for the big breakfast but 2 tiny cold sausages, 2 cold eggs and lots of horrible cold bacon which I didn't eat and asked to be replaced. The French toast was pretty unpleasant too. The only good thing about this place is the desserts and coffee are really good, and of course the location is amazing and dog friendly.
We recently celebrated by sister's 50th Birthday at The Oaks Brasserie and had a wonderful time. Rhys did a great job organizing the event, we threw a few curve balls his way - a violinist and magician, 'no worries' he said. The venue was perfect for us, and looked gorgeous in the autumn afternoon sunlight. The food was fresh, hearty and great value. Whilst many of the guests had been to The Oaks before, many more were pleasantly surprised to discover one of Canberra's 'hidden gems'. Thanks, we had a wonderful time.
Disappointing customer service but decent coffee. Upon entry the waitress laughed at my partner and I as we had walked into the cafe to look at the cakes. It wasn’t clear why she was laughing. If we had walked into the shop incorrectly maybe you would benefit from have a clear entry setup and not display cakes with prices. What a shame the service was so poor. It could have been such a beautiful experience as it’s a gorgeous spot.
What a glorious place to visit. Coffee was superb. Scones delicious. Surrounding stunning with the autumn leaves.
Thank you so much for a fantastic work for our wedding on Saturday. We had a fantastic time & all of our guests went away extremely content with the food and quality of service Rhys and the team provided. The staff looked happy & ambience created was perfect for our garden themed wedding. Highly recommend them for guests with diverse dietary requirements as they were able to cater delicious food for no onion/garlic allergy, vegan, vegetarian & gluten free needs. Their event management & expert attention to detail made our wedding an incredible success! The banana gluten free dessert is a must to try as well as the beef goulash, which are available in the cafe experience as well! :) Thank you YGOB for the most beautiful food and heart warming service x
Good food, great coffee, friendly and helpful staff. Great outdoor seating under the trees. Neat, clean, tidy and well kept.
Delightful. Outside dining. Fantastic dog friendly venue. Strolling through the greenery after coffee or food is a must.
