We took our children to try hot pot for the first time on Saturday night. The restaurant was inviting and well presented, staff where lovely and food served quickly. Upon leaving we were charged $175 for food which was 3 broths, one plate beef, various vegetables, fried pork and two pork buns. We were then charged an additional $18 for drinks. So all up around $200 for a family of 4. When I told my husband he said the balance on the tablet when we placed the order was $117. Definitely check you bills folks, something's not right with this place.

As a person who likes hot pot very much, I remember Wukong Hot Pot is a very good choice. I like their spicy and tomato soup best. I won’t be thirsty after eating, and the environment is very comfortable. Although it is a very busy restaurant, the service is also very prompt and thoughtful and the waiters are very nice, the ingredients are fresh, and the performance-to-price ratio is high. My friends and I like to come here for dinner and will come back, highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience at Wukong! The food was fresh and the service was quick. I recommend this place for people looking to expand their taste horizons.

Tl;dr: the dipping sauce and drink wait was so long. I’m upset about last night’s experience. We booked a table at 7:30 and when we arrived at 7:20 we waited there until 7:40 to be seated. After ordering, the food were served at a fast pace, we found out that the dipping sauce station was closed. We went to ask the staff about it and they told us we have to order again for the dipping sauce through the iPad and it took them another 30 - 40 mins to make the sauce by then we were already more than halfway finished with the hot pot. During the whole time our drinks (milk tea) were not served until we almost finished eating we also asked twice for it, for the cider it took a while as well. I understand that Saturday night was a busy night but that doesn’t mean you could ignore the customer service. Nobody looked at our pot and we had to ask to fill up the soup as well. The food was nice, but the service was meh.

While a potentially unique experience for people who may not have tried hot pot before, the ingredients were largely not fresh and several things were poorly presented - many small hairs (eg. from clothes) in the steamed rice. The frozen meat rolls (thin) were nice but most of the other items on the 2-person platter we ordered were either badly seasoned or not fresh. The broths themselves were not well seasoned aside from being overly salty. The whole meal was also very much on the expensive side at $88 for the platter itself and $108 overall (side and base).

I would not recommend visiting Wukong Hotpot due to the poor service. I ordered several items which never arrived. When I raised this with the waitress, she stated ‘we’ll take that off your bill.’ I just walked out at the end disappointed never to return. If you want a real hot pot experience visit Sanpo Japanese Rosebery in Sydney.

Good Quality Chinese Hot Pot. You can choose different type of soup base and how spicy you want. Very mild, mild, hot, very hot. Tomato Soup Base is recommended for someone can't eat spicy food.

This was the worse experience I ever had, they charged us $3 per person for the sauce, but got our sauce wrong, when we asked to change the sauce, they charged us an extra $3 each. We later found plastic!! in the soup, when we informed the waitress about it, she didn't care... and just gave us $6 discount for it.... There was 1 waiter who was incredibly rude and 2 waitress, they were all trying to quickly serve us and head to the back of the restaurant to play with their phone (saw them all sitting at the back on the phone, when I walked to the toilet) The foods itself was mediocre at best. I have tried at least 30 hotpot place in Melb and Canberra, this place would rank the lowest
