Uncle Billy's

If I can give half a star I would. We ordered a Chinese herbal soup with tofu. When the soup came to our table, we thought it was served to the wrong table as the soup presented was just plain tofu with some egg drop soup. The waiter went back to verify and came back saying it is the right order. We were all shocked to say the least, and upon tasting it there is not a single hint of herbal in this herbal soup. The other dishes were very disappointing as well, pork dish was not marinated well and the vegetables served was yellowish. This is definitely my worst Chinese restaurant meal. And it was an expensive one too! I had wondered why are there so many good comments, maybe we had different dishes? But one thing is for sure, my family and friends who were with us will never go back there again.

Have been going to this place for about 3 to 4 years now. The food quality has never let me down and service is good. I would recommend spending your evening here with your family and friends.

Uncle Billy’s never disappoints. The pepper chilli chicken is to die for. Super crispy and full of flavour. Combination fried rice with loads of tasty seafood will not disappoint. This time I tried the sizzling satay beef which was delicious. Very prompt service.

A must try for anyone new to Perth or visitors that want a cheeky late night Chinese restaurant feed. Seems like the staff here always try to please and exceed expectations, one thing I believe that sets them apart from other Chinatown restaurants. One occassion that sticks out for me is our waitress' accommodation to my celiac friend whom helped us order gluten free food with no problems at all. My mate loves Chinese food and she loves Uncle Billy's so it was very comforting and it felt like we were in good hands. We appreciated it very much. Food arrives hot every time and I'm always pleased with the dishes quality. My go to dishes are salt and chili squid tentacles and stir fry beef ho fun noodles during late night adventures. Early morning hours I will get some dumplings or a chicken congee. Also, they serve a mean, notoriously, indulgent deep fried mars bar. My mouth waters when I hear the name Uncle Billy's! Yum. It's a good vibe here and everyone that goes set a unique and friendly atmosphere. It's a comfy type of environment, really good to bring mates and banter over dinner. Overall, Billy's is a beloved landmark in Perth that many treasure. I appreciate the place and have made some very good memories here, I hope it never changes. 5 stars.

It was good before, but this time not satisfied with the service and the dish we ordered. Hopefully they focus more better and fast service.

Good value authentic quality late night restaurant in Chinatown. Food is GREAT here.. it always is as it always has been for 30 years.

Good Chinese food, not the place to go with family or kids, extremely noisy, especially if you are seated upstairs. Food is very authentic and a great menu. A place mainly for the pub/nightclub crowd as it remains open until 4am. Overall worth a try if you want authentic Chinese food.

One of the popular hang out place for students looking for late night dinners. The food has been consistently good all these years. We had the stir fried kangkung with fermented bean curd, jer jer chicken and steamed pork mince with salted fish. The dishes came with steamed rice. We left with happy faces and satisfied tummies.
