Trawool Fish & Chips

Fish was ok. Potato cakes and sweet potato cakes were burnt. Advice to the owners - there are many competitors in the area .

3.6. I know it’s only fish and chips but I like them. Sometimes, anyway. They’re good here as others have reported. Fresh oil is used and they’re well made. They were tasty and good. Lovely service here too. Recommended.

My favourite fish and chip shop. Not my local but worth the drive. [Edit 2 - been again, order was correct and good, changed from 3->4 stars] [Edit - adding text, changed from 5->3 stars] So this is still my favourite fish and chip shop. I have more than 6 closer to home than Trawool but still go there. BUT. tonight was a bad experience. Ordered basically two separate orders, one with salt, one without - and they got them around the wrong way. Got nearly home and realized they forgot a flake. Chips are still good, but salty - if this was my first trip there this would be a 1star review and I wouldn't go back.

The workers/owners were displaying a horrible services. When we just ordered 3 potato cakes, the counternist' face changed immediately to angry and frowned badly. I understand cuz they had to warm up the oil temperature but I don't think it is suitable

Great fish and chips in this area, Crunchy crispy, love it.

Some of the best chips I've had, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside!!

My roommate and I ordered thru Menulog and got the food delivered, both of us got sick I puked and my roommate had a bad stomach

Great taste and fresh oil. Food is always cooked nicely, and the serving size is perfect. The new management has improved the recipe of their batter. One of the best fish and chips I have had in Melbourne so far. Lovely and warm welcome into the shop when I came in to pick up. It was ready in a carry bag & reasonably priced. Food was so delicious. Will definitely visit them regularly.

Good and friendly service. The food was good, but TOO much salt spoiled the taste.

Food was fresh and delivered on time. Potato cakes were fabulous!
