305 Lygon St Carlton 3053, Melbourne
We ordered from the special menu 3 weeks ago; I can't remember the exact names: lobster and crab bisque, prosciutto salad with pears, prawn linguine. The food was fantastic! Hearty home-cooked Italian dishes to warm you up on a cold day.
Amazing food, great serving and great customer services
The food was delicious. The pizza base is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The food portions are great too Be sure to reserve a table for the weekend and Friday nights as it can be a long wait. Great ambiance too and family friendly. Their coffees are great and their drink selection is pretty good too.
The food here retains the good ole Italian saying “less is more” with their sauces complimenting the char of the pizza, the bitterness of the arugula and much much more. The one thing that stuck to my head was the waiter who had excellent service and expertise, took away the dishes with finesse. The hot latte I ordered wasn’t to my taste being that I am a teen and the drink was too bitter for someone who goes out for some occasional boba tea. All and all, would definitely come again.
Under CV-Lockdown Chicken Parmigana with veggies instead of chips The food was of poor quality and flavour. I'm assuming this is due to take-away and the difficulties of CV. The water from the salad/vegetables made the very small and thin piece of chicken soggy and even watered the sauce. The small portion of the chicken wasn't the most depressing, the vegetables which weren't fresh had no seasoning and the salad had a washed creamy dressing. The photographs of what looks like a deserving ~$30 was simply a slap on the face tonight.
Great atmosphere with a good selection of food for adults and kids ...and vegetarians. The kids loved the margaritas and Bologna with spaghetti. The vegetarians had had the tortellini tartufo. To top it up we had some sangiovese with cannoli and chocolate mouse for desert. Overall the place is busy but cosy at the same time. The food, atmosphere and drinks were spot for our family.
Awesome food and awesome service. No pretentious Italian goings-on. Yes, some are Italians but we had a little bantering a lot of fun. They had crumbed fress sardines! Absolutely yummy! Stuffed olives with meat in a great sauce! Meatballs stuffed with mozzarella were bigger than cricket balls in a sauce which just wafted you away. Great lunch and great experience.
Rude and incompetent bloke who couldn’t figure out where I was sitting when trying to pay even though we were not given a table number and I clearly pointed out where we were sitting. Good coffee, very poor customer service.
Loved the negroni, found the interior a little dark. Great overall.
Nice Italian restaurant which has been around for many years. It has the family feel and the foods are pretty good.
