4/2 Trevillian Quay, Kingston
Experience in working with alternative milk coffees like soy, almond etc. lacking. However, generic coffee was good. Food was presented in a good manner, and was delicious. Aesthetics was lacking including lack of tea spoons on tables (when asked for teaspoons it was like a new concept to the cafe). Nil table numbers to assist with table service, going off names of customers which led to duplicate names of people which is expected. A fix would be to introduce a table number system. Furnishing within the cafe was rustic and did provide a good atmosphere. Staff were young, productive and remained focused throughout the morning. Overall a good experience with some minor lapses in contemporary cafe standards. Thank you Thirty8!
Ordered breakfast for 6 people and was told there was a 30 min wait which was fine. Then one meal came out 5 min later and then nothing for 40 min. Was told it would have to go back in the queue after asking them where our food was. Waiter was serving food to multiple people who came in well after us and didn't check with us once. They should concentrate on coffee and snacks and not full breakfast as they were all over the place. Also printed menus and table numbers would also be a good start as there were none. Ended up getting a refund and leaving to get breakfast elsewhere.
If all you want is coffee, there are better options
Love the coffee, sandwiches and vibe here! Our go to cafe in Kingston
Awesome place and they know how to make coffee.
The cafe has great views of Kingston Foreshore and some of the distant hills towards the east of the ACT. The staff are polite and friendly.
Coffee is good, love the date with double espresso.
