Worst taste of Momo, Chowmin and Nepali Khana set ever eaten! Very poor on quality 👎 Even they don’t send forks on delivery 🤷‍♂️

It decor really reminds me of Chinese restaurants that were common in the 90s. It's very kitchy but I like it. It's not super fancy or pretentious. It's basic, but it's clean and orderly. I like the flags and the trinkets they have around the restaurants. I really liked the steamed Momo. The chicken filling was great. I could taste the ginger and coriander. I loved the mashed potato croquettes from their speciality section. The chow mein wasn't barbecue flavoured as some others that I've tried, but it was ok. Also, everything comes with a side of tomato sauce, which is fabulous! Get the chicken Momo. So delicious.

Great customer service and friendly staff. Food was good. Must try jhol momo and Thukpa.

Never ever do ubereats they always forget to send some items it happened to me thrice ordered momo they forget to send sauce I ordered lassi with other meals and they forget to send lassi very disappointed

Love the place specially the jhol momo.Guys do try the jhol momos.

The Chilli momos was much better compare to other Chilli momos we had. However Samosa chat isnt that good. Also the lady who serves doesn't really care about takeaway orders. So from service point of view, its not great however we love that Chilli momos and will try again

2nd best veg momo in sydney. Ive bern almost all Nepali restaurants in sydney. Old cafe talk in Campsie still no 1. 5 star

I would like to provide a constructive review for our visit yesterday i.e. 11th January 2021 between 9.30pm to 10.30pm at The Thamel Nepalese Restaurant, Granville NSW. Food- We had Chatpatte, Chicken Jhol momos and Vegetarian Kote Momos. Jhol Momos and Kote Momos were very good. We did not like Chatpatte as it was very dry. Overall food was better than other Nepalese restaurants but our good food experience suddenly turned to the worst dining experience ever. Customer Service- We were very disappointed with the customer service experience we received. The girl who was serving us was very rude and upon checking with her she replied that she misunderstood what we had ordered and requested. We also work in customer service and understand that. We wanted to order more but changed our mind looking at her behavior. When my wife went to the reception to pay. While checking the bill she noticed that we were charged for bread. My wife casually asked that we did not order any bread today. The receptionist said this is for "Pani puri water" that you ordered as our Chatpatta was very dry. She had no problem in paying but asked because it was billed as Bread which we never ordered. Out of no where she said "nothing comes free here". My wife did not say anything as she din't want to argue and spoil her evening as food was good. Then, while paying by apple pay through her mobile the payment dint go through. She requested the girl to check as it was some error because she knew that there was ample balance in accounts and eventually she paid again through same apple pay account which went through. To our shock she started yelling that "you don't have any money in your account and you came to eat here". It was then, when my wife finally called me to intervene as the customer service executive was very rude and was talking absurd. After requesting her that we want to see the manager or owner, she said I am the manager and the owner. Do whatever you want. We had a heated argument as she said "you Indians are very demanding and think you are more smart". I guess she must have had some bad experience in her personal life with Indians but she cannot use her frustration on a customer who is paying for the food. I have lots of Nepalese friends and office colleagues. We love and support Nepalese food as we have so much common in our food but after this horrendous customer service experience this will be our last visit to this restaurant. Please Note- We have tried reaching them through Facebook and awaiting reply.
